Fun fact: Rockstar looked at this movie and based Niko Bellic on him loosely
Not only that they wanted him to be the voice actor for Niko bellic. He refused because his manager Miss let him and plus he was in the stigma that video games won't make him money and Fame, since he was hoping that he will receive calls for making more movies but never came, later on a few years later they did an interview with him and he regrets refusing the offer of Rockstar.
Came here to leave that comment lol

Fun fact: The little split ring that you see exposed at the top of the mine between the prongs is attached to the safety pin. If it is still there, the mine isn't actually armed, so they should have removed that before this scene took place.
Many things make nonsense in that movie
They didn't want the actor to blow up for real.
Oops, my bad. Here, let me fix that ...
Considering the movie makes the serb forces look dangerous and capable, that small oversight is the least of its problems. That aside, the actors were awesome!

Did u see the whole movie? The sniper and the army officer served the same guy. But the army officer humiliated him before, because he is just a militia leader stays in Jungle. That was a cute revenge.
Landmines typically do not work on this they have impact fuses the second something touches them they explode there's a reason there I like this they want to cause as much damage as possible make it so someone can tell or that someone around them could tell that they have stepped in a land mine prevents them from doing as much damage as possible is it allows the other people to get away
🤔😯
This is an S-mine, more commonly known as a "Bouncing Betty" because it was an anti-personnel mine that would shoot into the air and detonate around 3 feet from the ground. While these do not work on impact fuses, there still likely would not have been time for them to have an entire exchange before both of them would have been filled with shrapnel.

Niko belic 🇷🇸❤
Mines explode as soon as you step on them...
Depends on the triggering mechanism. If it’s a pressure trigger, commonly implemented in anti-tank mines and IED’s, then yes. Mines placed in areas where enemy vehicles aren’t likely to transverse, but likely ground troops may walk, have these types of toggled triggering mechanisms so as to be set off by being either stepped on or caught by the side of a boot sole.
