I'm just a crazy old lady who rrandomly clicked on one of your videos when I was surfing around, and ended up falling in love with your joy of scrapping. You make me laugh. You find such interesting things and silly as it sounds I get a big kick out of learning about the junk you find. It's amazing how complex things are, and just how many little parts it takes to make something work. And then you find Chucks!! LOL God bless!

Grab single shoes, especially men's and donate. I got in trouble selling one shoe to an amputee while I worked at a shoe store. The shoe I sold didn't have a mate and I wasn't about to sell two shoes to someone who didn't need both. I never regretted it.
The extinguisher was a water can you could unscrew the top and they’d probably take it.
I process those all the time. Pop off the plastic vase. Unscrew the valve. Number one stainless. The valve bodies are brass. The plunger, spring and handles are steel. I make good moola off old water can extinguishers.
That 100foot heavy cord is probably $60 worth of copper by itself.

Keep a Lint Roller in Dottie and use on yourself for the itchy stuff. IT HELPS!
I learn something new from each of Mike’s videos. How things are built, what the innards of motors look like, the type of metal each item is. Mostly, I am impressed and inspired by Mike’s ability to do what is hard work with a great attitude and sense of humor. Not to mention the tons of metal and other items he has kept out of the landfills. He goes on these runs, then goes home and edits his videos which, from my own experience, takes a bit of time and effort. Thank you Mike and family, which includes Dotty! The Cactus Jack Chucks are a some sort of Travis Scott version. Sometimes those are very expensive because they sold out in minutes. Look on the internet. Those are super hard to find. May be worth way more than you think......

Don’t know why you wouldn’t grab a stainless steel fire extinguisher, they go for $20 at the yard sales. Can’t be beat in a water fight. Fill with water and 100 psi air pressure.😎
When my 7yo daughter saw the tires, she yelled OH LOOK TIRES! Would have made you proud Mike.
Mike, the fire extinguisher at 18:25 is stainless steel. The valve will be held on with a nut and can be removed. I use one on my farm to fill tractor tires with antifreeze and pump insecticide into ant hills.
Dude!!! Don’t pass up stainless steel fire extinguishers. Pop off the plastic base. Unscrew the valve. You have #1 stainless. The valves are brass. The handles are steel. I scrap them and process them for big bucks all the time.

Mike, my brother emptied a fire extinguisher and cut the bottom off, made a clapper and wind catch for it. Makes a very nice wind chime bell.

They can be but they don't want people throwing any pressurized cylinders on the pile s of scrap because they can't trust everyone to depressive them themselves.
So they must be inspected first and approved. Most yards can't afford to designae someone to do this because they are only worth pennies in scrap value

That silver extinguisher is scrap scrapable , that's a water extinguisher pressurized with regular air compressor, put water and air in it and have fun!

If you take the single shoes they can be donated. Amputees need singles. Children's hospital or VA for them to give out.

we are building a flat goodness gracious me that is flippen hard work 80% finished. I am so tired 😩 lying on my bed every muscle in my body is hurting my knees are done and you jump in and out like a young buck!!!! makes me feeling a 100 years old! 😅😅😅😅

Olive green Chucks! Size 10.5 would probably fit me, if guy shoes weren't so darned wide. Just FYI - printer cartridges are worth $2 each in "ink rewards" if you nab your replacement ink at a certain office supply store. Unlimited IIRC if you have a commercial account, 10 per month otherwise. Free shipping supplies if nothing else.
