Had a great time hanging out and chatting with you about puzzles, thanks for having me on!
Anytime, brother, maybe when we do that CZcams channel virtual thing we discussed.
this is so awsome, we're do we buy the book?
Nothing is better when the players come up with a solution to a puzzle that just didn't occur to you when you created it!
That is one of the funnest parts about putting a challenge like these in front of your players! They Never do what u think they will. lol
Really loved how @WallyDM summarized puzzles. They're a great link between players and the environment, and solving them can be amazing memorable moments for the group. Including "easy" puzzles is also a great tip đ
Absolutely! We are big fans of memorable moments. Good to see you, my friend.-Mark
Just seen this... Thank you Bob! :-)
I'm Mark's youngest sister and don't know anything about D&D, but love watching the videos! They're very intriguing. Maybe.... just may-beee my interest and curiosity will lead me to diving into this mysterious game. Hahaha
Donât forget favorite sister. Wait, Jodi wonât see this will she? Nah, she wouldnât see this. We are good:-)
This was super helpful. Thank you guys!
This is proving to be a interesting mix. Great video concept and topic. Exploration is puzzles, great point.
Now where have we seen three guys talking about D&D before?
The knock door is my favorite.
This is brilliant will check you out wally
+1 just for Gonzo's title.
I have that book by Wally DM and it is really good. Go get it!
My first d&d game the dm gave the 5 of us a puzzle box asking us to alight the contents by value. We didn't ask what 'value' ment and spent an hour locked in a library trying to figure out the value of items. Needless to say after an hour of utter cluelessness I smashed the box and then rolled a Nat 20 and smashed the door down.. wisdom test fail, strength test made.
When and where can we see @WallyDM actually DM a game?
DMing my first campaign and totally used Raiders of the Lost Ark as inspiration for a large portion of the game. The reveal of the traps in those opening scenes were so cleverly done.
âStay here.â â...if you insist senior.â Lol
I also used the âburning down bar fightâ for an encounter and the âlost cityâ motif.
Those movies are idea goldmines. Just add magic.
6:22 What movie is this from?
EDIT: Found it. Idiocracy.
The only problem I have with Intelligence checks is players who are like "I keep rolling Int checks until you TELL ME the answer." *proceeds to roll 20d20 plus Int mod*
This was great! We did a little skit on how players struggle even with the simplest of puzzles!
Cool video
What is that outro music
That is Drag Me to Hell by Dark Signal and is a copyright free song. czcams.com/video/w8RpaXrXf28/video.html
Yeah, that outro is exciting. Gets me pumped up for more D&D
Greaaat video
WALLY!!!!
B Lynn that was our reaction when we met with him for the first time. We have been big Wally fans for awhile now.
Aww. Thanx guys! :)
B LYNN!!!! :)
@@WallyDM stop. You're making me blush. LOL
I very much dislike puzzles because I don't see someone building a defense system that cannot hold back clever people
It could be as simple as a passworded door.
Only the creator "should" be able to open it, but that's where the players start finding clever ways to subvert.
Either by finding the password, finding a way around the password, or even around the door itself.
Why do u put puzzles and traps in d&d? Because itâs d&d
If U have to ask for an ability check you failed as a DM
This really feels like just an ad for the book. There was nothing of substance beside buy the book
@GonzotheGreat why tf do you need 14 minutes for that
Looking for D&D puzzle ideas and I get this crap. I suspect thatâs where most of your views are coming from.
If you check out WallyDMâs channel you will have more puzzle ideas than you know what to do with. Sorry we didnât deliver what you were looking for.
