    Hmmm....since 1980s l search for good info about Yagi antenna. From books and magazine. I like to built my own antenna that day. Built with zero knowledge about RF. Today l found your channel very interesting and easy. Ooh.... Why it doesn't come before... However.... Good work for antenna enthusiasts. Staying alive Sir.

    @kokfahchong1867 Před 4 lety +11

    Yagi Uda antenna has such shape and design is to guide the free electrons flow in a conducive way to produce directional dissipation of photons to the surroundings. The current that channeled into the driving element will first emitting out dynamic photons from itself before some other free electrons will flow towards both the reflector and directors. The fact that reflector is much longer therefore it has higher resistance. The current will tend to flow towards lower resistance regions. Once reflector is saturated with some free electrons, it will emit out photons to the surroundings after those free electrons have flown towards the dead end of the reflector. Because the reflector is next to the driving element, it will perceive to have higher resistance than the first director with shorter length than the reflector. Unlike the reflector, there are several directions where free electrons can continuous to flow from one director to the next therefore those directors are perceived to have lower resistances. So, not abundant of free electrons flowing towards the reflector, but abundant flowing towards the directors. The strength and number of current flowing towards those directors will be cascaded as some free electrons will flow into the first director before emitting out dynamic photons to the surroundings after they have reached the dead end, while fewer free electrons will continue to flow into the next director before emitting out dynamic photons before even fewer remnant free electrons to flowing into next directors. Since the number of free electrons that flowing into next consecutive directors will reduce sharply therefore fewer and fewer dynamic photons will be emitted out to the surroundings. The configuration of dissipation of dynamic photons that emitted from those directors will form a narrow directional pattern of dynamic photons. No wonder yagi uda antenna is emitting out directional dissipation of dynamic photons to the surroundings in parallel to the configuration and design of the yagi uda antenna based on the flowing pattern of free electrons within itself. If you are interested in real discoveries, I would recommend you to read my book, The Unification Theory - Volume One and you will be amazed with lots of new, interesting discoveries. In God I trust.. .

    How does one go about designing a TV antenna vhf-hi / uhf USA
    Example:
    vhf-hi ~ 207 mhz
    ufh ~ 500 mhz - 670 mhz
    Is it just the length of your driven element or do reflectors and directors tune also? Assume either 1/2 or 1/4 could be used but what about freq range?

    • @EngineeringFunda
      @EngineeringFunda  Před 4 lety

      I mean, it is based on wavelengths, so once you decide Operating frequency then you will get it in terms of meters.

    Thanks for making that video. I don't know much on these things but thought I'd ask. I currently have a google mesh network in my house (4 nodes). If I have 2 buildings situated quite a distant apart, can i use a yagi antenna to connect between two of the nodes inside the mesh and basically push the wifi out to the distant building? So having 3 nodes in my house, then the yagi, then have another node in the other building? Thanks for your time.

    • @EngineeringFunda
      @EngineeringFunda  Před 3 lety

      Yagi is directional antenna, so you can use it by setting required directions. Remember it cannot radiates in multiple directions.
      In building we need to see many things. How many walls are attenuating signal.

    • @kimbomad
      @kimbomad Před 3 lety

      @@EngineeringFunda Thanks for the quick reply. .... It's hard to describe what I'd like to do without a picture. What I'm trying to describe is to use a Yagi (directional to point to the other building) to include a node that is outside the wifi mesh network. Basically having the 3 nodes working together within the range that they're operational, and then have a node outside that range but connected through a Yagi Antenna. So the majority of the mesh network is in the house, but I was hoping to be able to extend the network and place a node in a building much further away. Hope that helps, without a picture, as to what I'd like to do. Thanks for any response.

    greetings from mexico! tks for the video.... can you explain what is the correlation between the constants 479 492 461.... we use metric systems and for me lambda = 300/frequency/2
    can you also explain if the separation between elements is fixed or decreases if more directors are used??

    • @EngineeringFunda
      @EngineeringFunda  Před 6 lety +1

      See this constant is based on dimensions of yagi uda. Size of element give idea about this element and that justify frequency of operation.

    • @EngineeringFunda
      @EngineeringFunda  Před 6 lety +1

      See separation should be based on additive phase in directional element direction and out of phase in reflector element direction. Based on above constant you can choose any design.

  • @rickwest2818
    @rickwest2818 Před 5 lety

    "One can see..." no, one absolutely cannot see. This is an explanation of what a yagi does, not how it works. Why does the reflector reflect and why do the directors direct. The only difference I see is their length. Maybe their position too, but what's going on there?

    • @EngineeringFunda
      @EngineeringFunda  Před 5 lety

      It is purely based on impedance matching and impedance mismatch

    • @rickwest2818
      @rickwest2818 Před 5 lety

    • @msf60khz
