Hmmm....since 1980s l search for good info about Yagi antenna. From books and magazine. I like to built my own antenna that day. Built with zero knowledge about RF. Today l found your channel very interesting and easy. Ooh.... Why it doesn't come before... However.... Good work for antenna enthusiasts. Staying alive Sir.

Hi sir ... I really appreciate your efforts for Antenna Lectures but I would like to request you that please upload your lecture notes which you are using in the lecture so one can use it for quick revision of the whole subject after watching the lectures..!
You can have it in my application and you can download my application from description of all my videos
Yagi Uda antenna has such shape and design is to guide the free electrons flow in a conducive way to produce directional dissipation of photons to the surroundings. The current that channeled into the driving element will first emitting out dynamic photons from itself before some other free electrons will flow towards both the reflector and directors. The fact that reflector is much longer therefore it has higher resistance. The current will tend to flow towards lower resistance regions. Once reflector is saturated with some free electrons, it will emit out photons to the surroundings after those free electrons have flown towards the dead end of the reflector. Because the reflector is next to the driving element, it will perceive to have higher resistance than the first director with shorter length than the reflector. Unlike the reflector, there are several directions where free electrons can continuous to flow from one director to the next therefore those directors are perceived to have lower resistances. So, not abundant of free electrons flowing towards the reflector, but abundant flowing towards the directors. The strength and number of current flowing towards those directors will be cascaded as some free electrons will flow into the first director before emitting out dynamic photons to the surroundings after they have reached the dead end, while fewer free electrons will continue to flow into the next director before emitting out dynamic photons before even fewer remnant free electrons to flowing into next directors. Since the number of free electrons that flowing into next consecutive directors will reduce sharply therefore fewer and fewer dynamic photons will be emitted out to the surroundings. The configuration of dissipation of dynamic photons that emitted from those directors will form a narrow directional pattern of dynamic photons. No wonder yagi uda antenna is emitting out directional dissipation of dynamic photons to the surroundings in parallel to the configuration and design of the yagi uda antenna based on the flowing pattern of free electrons within itself. If you are interested in real discoveries, I would recommend you to read my book, The Unification Theory - Volume One and you will be amazed with lots of new, interesting discoveries. In God I trust.. .
This is very interesting to read something based on directive impedance. Thanks for your suggestion. I have already ordered the book you have suggested here. Even I believe in god as you, and soo many thoughts are matching in between us.
Very useful sir
Bro NYC presentation and great teaching skills u have............
Can you explain BROAD BAND ANTENNA-HELICAL ANTENNA
Thank u sir u made it so simple
sir please make vedio according to exam point of view,, i mean many questions asked in the field of engineering about antenna so that we need to total explanation, not skip anything about regarding topic.
Thank you for an excellent explanation of driven, reflector and director elements
How does one go about designing a TV antenna vhf-hi / uhf USA
Example:
vhf-hi ~ 207 mhz
ufh ~ 500 mhz - 670 mhz
Is it just the length of your driven element or do reflectors and directors tune also? Assume either 1/2 or 1/4 could be used but what about freq range?
Basic design could be done as per this explanation and by simulation we can optimize it.
Best explained

Draw 6 elements but calculation of elements will be different
thank you
Very nice video, but I don't understand what you mean when you say that the length is given of active element (and others) is given "in terms of field". Why is it not given in meters?
I mean, it is based on wavelengths, so once you decide Operating frequency then you will get it in terms of meters.

I bought a set of these antenna boosters to put over my drone transmitter antennas. Should they boost my signal? And how much? Thank you
Thank you, sir, but I have a question. can we doing simulation for this lens antenna
Thanks for making that video. I don't know much on these things but thought I'd ask. I currently have a google mesh network in my house (4 nodes). If I have 2 buildings situated quite a distant apart, can i use a yagi antenna to connect between two of the nodes inside the mesh and basically push the wifi out to the distant building? So having 3 nodes in my house, then the yagi, then have another node in the other building? Thanks for your time.
Yagi is directional antenna, so you can use it by setting required directions. Remember it cannot radiates in multiple directions.
In building we need to see many things. How many walls are attenuating signal.
@@EngineeringFunda Thanks for the quick reply. .... It's hard to describe what I'd like to do without a picture. What I'm trying to describe is to use a Yagi (directional to point to the other building) to include a node that is outside the wifi mesh network. Basically having the 3 nodes working together within the range that they're operational, and then have a node outside that range but connected through a Yagi Antenna. So the majority of the mesh network is in the house, but I was hoping to be able to extend the network and place a node in a building much further away. Hope that helps, without a picture, as to what I'd like to do. Thanks for any response.
While designing these antennas, you didn't mention about gain, you just found lengths, how is gain 12dB justified with these lengths of antenna?
The link you have provided is not working please check
Please explain about wave tilt, critical frequency, luf
It is there in my playlist of Antenna and wave propagation
thanks
Sir can do video on design of monofilar axial mode type and tapered monofilar axial mode type
It is helical Antenna. For tapered helical if radius of helical is increasing gradually then it have axial mode of operation
Thank u sir
Should the reflector and director elements be seperated/insulated from the boom (square pipe)?
They are not connected electrically means they are insulated only.
How to design 5 element yagi uda antenna? That might come in my exam. Please help
Thanks for that it was very interesting. I was wondering what you think about the van Allen belts between the earth and the moon. Obviously, people bounce signals from the moon but some say that the van Allen belts disrupt and even reflect signals. I was thinking that you might have a view on this subject?
Its not that straight forward but some day I will cover that topics
Engineering Funda I will look forward to it. Best wishes.
for 5 element how we can design yagi-udda antenna?
sir,by increasing director elements how will be the minor lobes size get decreases!also why 478,492,461.92!can you pls explain in clear!
Design a wideband Yagi-Uda Based Printed Antenna for 5G Applications ?
Is this same to my question?
Hello sir can i ask favor about distance of between elements?0.25 lambda what is that in inches or cm?
It depends on value of lambda
@@EngineeringFunda for example sir 144.520 my frequency reflector is 41in ches/driven is 39 inches/ director is 38 inches im looking what is distances?
Do you think a monopole antenna can be designed to detect a 100hz sine wave with a length of 40-50 cm?
Nope
Sir can we write this answer as it is in the xam or I have to extend the answer to get full marks...
Can you please explain from where did you get these values 478 , 492 and 461.2 ??How do we know we have to divide frequency from these values?
Yes i also want to know..

Is a yagi uda omnidirectional or not
greetings from mexico! tks for the video.... can you explain what is the correlation between the constants 479 492 461.... we use metric systems and for me lambda = 300/frequency/2
can you also explain if the separation between elements is fixed or decreases if more directors are used??
See this constant is based on dimensions of yagi uda. Size of element give idea about this element and that justify frequency of operation.
See separation should be based on additive phase in directional element direction and out of phase in reflector element direction. Based on above constant you can choose any design.
Are you sure with the active and passive element explanation?
100%
Sir how to design 6 element yagi uda antenna plz tell me. Thanks for d videos
For 6 element yagi uda antenna
Uuu increase the director element
Because if you increase the director then gain of the antenna will be increase
"One can see..." no, one absolutely cannot see. This is an explanation of what a yagi does, not how it works. Why does the reflector reflect and why do the directors direct. The only difference I see is their length. Maybe their position too, but what's going on there?
It is purely based on impedance matching and impedance mismatch
That's like saying a car engine works by exploding gasoline. No real info there.
This is more like what I'm talking about, but nothing is said about directors.
czcams.com/video/md7GjQQ2YA0/video.html
Vegood
you must give the technical explanation about why reflector reflects the signal and director improves the directivity?
just simplr reflector reflects and director directs the signal is meaningless....waste of time and your energy....
Also, the video needs to express gain in dBi or dBd and not dB.
The elements are shown open circuit so they will not work.
