To be fair that's been the case for most of Netanyahu's political career. He's been investigated in Israel for, at least, 5 years, longer if memory serves, I forget when some of these began. The 2014 attack was due to political problems but I'm unsure whether there was a corruption case at that time or not.

Glad somebody mentioned this. I was a teenager during the Vietnam war and I remember the totally unrealistic body counts coming over network news as Vietnamese civilians were being massacred.
I was there in the 60s. A NVA general was told that he is losing most of the battles to the American s. But it didn't matter, he said He was still winning the war. The movement was succeeding. Same in Gaza.

I was terminated after an honours year, tutoring stage 1 and 3 years as a lecturer and 1st year econ coordinator. I studied Stats while working, as I only had second year econometrics.
The Dept of Stats then hired me. I worked with Prof Scott, may he rest in peace, Prof Wild, AProf Ihaka and others. Chris introduced me to Stat Education. I did conference papers, mainly to see the world 😂 and was invited to do a chapter in a book of esssys/articles.
