Yeah I know the feeling, saw him in Stockholm at an outdoor festival 2009 in August. He was the last performance and was ending the festival. He was late for over an hour, and meantime purple confetti was shooting out over the audience for all that time while prince music was playing. Than we saw a boat coming and there he was the little man with the big voice and a genius on guitar and piano ;). So suddenly he appears on stage , audience were wild, applause wouldn't stop and he hadn't played a note, it was so freaking amazing and lovely and then he kicked off the show, and what a show, i got goosebumps thinking about it. He played for almost 3 hours. And came onto stage again 2 more times , playing 20 more songs. Fucking unbelievable consert and a memory for life ;)

Of course we didn't but we stood by the stage door. I remember watching watching Dez, Bobby Z and Andre all walk past us. Prince was already inside. But the crazy thing was that this dude was standing by the stage right next to us. He was dressed to the MAX!!!! Kept clowning us because we were freezing but him it was a Spring Day. Flash forward to my senior year '82 we saw Prince again at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby during the Controversy tour. That same dude was opening for Prince. It was Morris Day!!! He actually remembered us but couldn't clown since we were driving at that point.

If seen some of the best in concert. Pink Floyd Paige and plant Metallica guns and roses the stones billy Joel with Elton John just to name a few. Prince by far was the best show I ever saw. I may like the music of the others more but the performance and entertainment level from prince is unbelievable

PRINCE was a musical genius - one of my favs of all time. Concerts were just one big party :-) "He's making this look so easy" - that's because it is ... it's pouring from his veins :-)

It was a two hour show so even with three encores it was a short show for him. Some shows on some tours could go 3or more hours and then he would go to a small club and jam for 3/4 hours for an after show party most nights. He was music

This is a gem. I didn't know Prince ever gave this kind of old school 70s type of show. It's wonderful.

An exceptional guitarist. Very under r
Rated. I've seen Jimi Hendrix live in 68, Hendrix like prince a guitar is not an instrument to them it's another extension of their body.
Prince decided to become a musician when his father brought him back stage at a James Brown show, when he was a kid. When he seen all the beautiful girls backstage he decided this is what he wanted to do.
This is very much Sly &the family Stone

Those of us who grew up in the 80's were spoiled by diversity of music on the radio and on the street. From pop Thiller/Like A Virgin/Prince to rock Motley Crue/ Def Leopard/GNR to rap Run DMC/LL/NWA to punk rock Ramones/Misfits/The Clash to R&B Baby Face/Bobby Brown/Al B Sure to just incredibly good music Whitney/AC/DC/Metallica
Prince grooved on the block of 70's funk Wild Cherry/Kool and the Gang/Lakeside and many others. So seeing him cover these songs is like a dolphin swimming in the ocean. So fun to watch and awe at his other worldly talents

I always recommend people watch these live Prince clips twice and the second time, try to focus on the crowd and see how much fun they’re having. Somebody said when he passed, “nobody ever went to a Prince concert, looked around and said ‘I don’t belong here’” and that’s the truth. It was always just all kinds of people having fun.

hard pressed to find any artist today that could kill it with a guitar then seamlessly transition to a bass guitar without a single blip...saw him in 2017, couldnt move around too well by then but managed to play guitar, bass, piano, and drums in the same show...just so amazing to watch
