Yep I think, GrumBot Probably considered the mastermind I mean who gave the compasses with the tracking to the button, clearly it’s grumBot, off course behind the scenes it’s clearly just Grian who probably put the button there but yeah Lore Wise it’s GrumBot.
I just realised that Grumbot might have tried to reach the Alternate Season 7 Universe but it failed...
thinking about it, the Hermits only way to get back to Hermitcraft is probably for them to build a new Grumbot on the Empires Server. That way the Grumbot can register their universe and open the portal again, just like the one in Hermitcraft.
Yea. And that is probably why grumbot put the button there and made the hermits go there since there is no grumbot he wants them to build one

@@talk2mearth I think it got scrambled because of the bad connection. If they make a Grumbot on Empires, the connection will get stabilized enough to allow travel
@@wanderingaceminecraftandmo8034 Possibly. Maybe you need grumbot to stabilize the connection from the end your on. So the message went through to empires fine because grumbot was on the sending side but not empires. But when sent back, grumbot wasn't on the empire's side, causing problems.

@@cjsantiago4035 I've already seen it. It just feels like Gem and False's storyline go beyond Grumbot and Grian's involvement.
I think it might be possible that grumbot is maybe trying to get rid of the hermits, until mumbo is the last one? I don't know that's my theory as of now. It would also explain why the rift closed, maybe grumbot did that.

@@retinazer7652 Yeah fair enough but I know exactly who you are talking about. Its definitely possible Grumbot is trapping them in different worlds purposely.
By taking out so many hermits out of the equation, there are now much bigger chances for (and smaller resistance against) Mumbo becoming Mayor. All according to plan.
soon enough we will see some hermitcraft videos on the real server from the people who didnt use the rift, mumbo being one, talking about a sudden mayoral campaign. mumbo, who lost the last one, would definitely want a second chance. that is when grumbot prime comes into play, forcing mumbo to comply to every command
Grumbot knew that if he got rid of the Hermitcraft member, when Mumbo returns he automatically becomes mayor.

There was a fringe in the Season 7 Grumbot. These recent Grumbots don't have it
IT's also worth mentioning that Grumbot powered the Hermatrix (Hermitcraft Season 8)
Yeah. I assume that is the one from Season 7, and I think he is rather happy to help the Hermits in the main timeline.
He probably learned Scar won, but unlike whatever happened in Grumbot Prime's universe, didn't get mad about it and realized his creators didn't want to break his heart.
Or... the fake reality Grian and Mumbo made helped Grumbot cope and inadvertently avoided Grumbot Prime's timeline.

There's one more thing you missed. xbcrafted made a video where he effectively went through multiple different worlds using grumbot and the rift, giving pieces of paper with weird names that effectively made grumbot change the rifts to go to various worlds, showing that grumbot has direct influence over the rift.
I really need to catch up with Hermit craft because this lore seems so cool
i have a theory that sausage will get the trust of all gods and they will think that sausage betrayed them and the hatred will rise and cause of that hatred a demi god will consume that hatred hermise and then grumbot will somehow male contact with hermise and grumbot will come to empires and then gods will know that sausage did not betrayed them
and all the hermits and emperors will combine forces and get that win and cure hermise and maybe grumbot

5:55 q version of grumbot was in seoson 8 he ran the hermatrix
Since the server diamonds went missing after the king ren battle and mumbo’s base is a vault where he said he would hide wealth that made him the richest hermit, and owning the servers diamond pool is the source of authority as discussed by bdubs, I think grumbot maybe be trying to use the taken diamonds to make mumbo both richest hermit and mayor while everyone is away on empires.

Perhaps the minecraft multiverse is just a bigger version of the hermatrix we know a version of grumbot controlled tge hermatrix and was on the ship that contained it
Another interesting theory, honestly. But that might turn all servers into some Hermatrix turducken, which might get a bit too much of a headache to handle.

I don't know why this hasn't occurred to anyone. In season 7, Grian and Mumbo told Grumbot that Mumbo was the mayor. So this Grumbot COULD be the same Grumbot

Yes! Thank you for making a video on this!! So many ppl forgetting Grumbots role in the story.. And Grian recently talking about how scared he is of Grumbot to Impulse and how he's avoiding him.. I truly think Grumbot holds many secrets between the Multiverses... And is using others to do his bidding in order to achieve a world in which Mumbo can be Mayor!! Now I'm curious as to why Hermit false had to erase Empire falses memory.. And claims Empire false is evil.. This story is so deep and captivating.. It's so hard to keep up!! Thank you for your videos and helping us try and piece together the puzzle and keep track of the story!! Good Job!!

My thought is that grumbot wanted to get rid of the competition per se and sent a bunch of the hermits to another universe to trap them. It only makes sense if mumbo became mayor because he was the only hermit left.

I think Grumbot Prime was urging Grian to press the button, so he would build another Grumbot in Empires SMP.
However, I doubt Grian will build another seeing as Prime may be the villain of both series this season.

@@SierraNight True that. Just there is one loos ends. The virus from Season 8 that partly carried over. But has not been seen in season 9. Than what is the rift? Who created it in the Empires? Maybe the virus is secretly seeking to conquer other Multiverses?

I'm a little late to this but I think that Hermitcraft, now empty of most if not every Hermit (Xb was sent to another dimension and trapped there as well), Mumbo can become the president (when he gets back) because there will be no one who opposes him

If Mumbo is the only one left on the Hermitcraft-Server, he's Major.
I think now that the rift is closed, Grumbot is probably waiting for Mumbo to join the game and so Grumbot will give instructions for him to fix the rift, after mumbo becomes the hero who helped the hermits to escape the mysterious universe, Grumbot will make mumbo for mayor cuz no one of them will refuse to vote for mumbo as a mayor or king after saving them.

grumbot knew that mumbo jumbo was taking a break, so grumbot tried to get single hermit out of the universe so when mumbo came back, he would be the only one there
Here are my leading thoughts on the crossover:
1. To get back they’re going to have to build a Grumbot in empires. He’s the one who opened the rift in the first place and sent them there.
2. When they get back Mumbo will fulfill his promise of being confusingly rich by having all of the diamonds from the king thing, and be declared mayor by Grumbot.

Something tells me that Grumbot is going to at some point arrive, or invade the Empires SMP. So it looks like that the Empires server is prone to be under attack that they are oblivious to, and the only way to stop Grumbot, is the Hermits. Since they are the only ones who have a better understanding of redstone technology.

i think that grumbot believes grian to be a threat to mumbo's campaign and therefore sent grean and other campaign threats to the empires smp where there is no grumbot so that they will be stuck there and never come back

What if this IS season 7 grumbot, but he figured it out and has been planning how to make Mumbo Mayor for years now. And this whole scheme is how he sees to do it.

Fwip just found Ollie's first base where he buried his pet sausage. The servers first base. Thus giving him ownership of the mountain. It turns out that Fwip built his entire base in Ollie's mountain. I think technically Ollie owns Fwip's empire.
Oli should pull that card if he keeps demanding diamonds.

My theory is that grumbot sent as many hermits as he can away from hermitcraft so when mumbo comes back, there will be no competition for mumbo and thus he will be mayor
