HC Season 7: Grian starts Mumbo 4 Mayor, Mumbo doesn't know about this.
HC Season 8: Boatem team makes Mumbo CEO, Mumbo doesn't know about this.
HC Season 9: Mumbo becomes the center and hope of Season's 9 "lore", Mumbo doesn't know about this.
Im starting to see a pattern here.

I love how at first everyone saw a war pattern but it appears that there's actually a Mumbo pattern in Hermitcraft xD
so basically the story of the entire hermit/empires crossover is a domino effect from mumbo taking some well deserved time off to THE WORLD WILL END WITHOUT MUMBO IN IT. something tells me the hermits really miss him if they wrote this plotline lol

Considering that in grian's escape room video where in his mind he has a diary that only says "I miss mumbo" for 6 pages! And in his deap parts of his mind we literally see only mumbo then ya I consider grian is going a bit insane because he miss mumbo
In Sausage’s most recent episode 34, he uses the Staff of Sanctuary instead of the rift to get back to Hermitcraft, however because of the Law of Lore, he is unable to get back to Empires as the staff is just a stick
What if Sausage tried to go through the rift and accidentally goes to the parallel universe where Supreme is? Would the staff remain a stick, or still be the actual staff if he went through from the Hermitcraft side?

My question is what is the target sausage is using to ensure he ends up in the right place? The rift would make travel between E2 and H9 easier, but if sausage is teleporting to grumbot on the H9 server, he might miss and end up next to grumbot on H7.

Empire Fans I have a theory. As you may all know, Shubble recently posted a new video. While I was scrolling through the comments, I found a reply to a comment from Shubble, (Technically there were two). She said that Shrub *isn’t* a past life. However, they are still connected because Shubble remembered Shrub’s original home. NOT the Undergrove. Also, when Shubble was asked if Shrub was still alive, she answered with “Maybe, but not necessarily… 😈” (And with that emoji). So! What could this *mean* exactly? Perhaps Shrub was split apart, into the Great Witch Shubble, and someone else. But that’s just my theory. It isn’t very possible. But hey, I think you should say all of your theories personally. Can’t wait to find out where this goes!

There's a part of me that would love for Mumbo to have told the hermits when he's planning to be back... meaning they can plan things around that: and then to have Grumbot decide to purge the world (and himself) due to a lack of Mumbo (thus ending Season 9)... only for Mumbo to come back online (say at the end of a Grian video) to the server.
“Emperor Grumbot” wasn’t really a Grumbot. The name Grumbot comes from Grian + Mumbo + Robot. But Mumbo didn’t help make “Emperor Grumbot”, if you pay attention in Grian’s video, he mentions that Impulse was the one who helped him with the redstone. So perhaps more accurately, we should be calling this recent deceased robot, Grimbot.
I also like the idea that of Grian ever has to show Grumbot a “Mumbo at home”, he asks Impulse go shave and style his beard into a Mumbo-Style Stache. And have Impulse do a funny Mumbo impression.
Maybe being called "Grimbot" is why it's evil?

also supporting the Law of Lore is the form the Hermits trended to upon the Empires server. All of them got shrunk there, yet they are back to full size on the Hermit server.
I wonder if the Law of lore compelled them to get shrunk there, sloting them in there as a single empire with a unified feature?
EDIT: Celestial Gem being Wizard Gem is already explained. Or rather, look at it in reverse. Wizard Gem became Celestial Gem. After all, if you keep accumulating magical power, eventually you will become a celestial Being.
Wizard Gem is not the same Gem as the Gem we see in Dawn/Hermitcraft

I love the idea that Wizard Gem could return to fight Lord Sausage again. I see the continuity error that is present. Perhaps to explain Wizard Gem’s status as Fwip’s twin sister, we can use the either the idea of reincarnation or ascension.
Reincarnation would imply that Gem would be somewhat similar to the Seablings. The difference being she reincarnates over and over instead of just losing their memories and connection to their power. Perhaps she doesn’t know what she is but does instinctively. Maybe the reason for the interest in magic. This would mean that Gem lives like a normal person until discovering her past. Living her own timeline like a mortal but being a celestial being deep down.
The idea of ascension is that Gem could have become one due her great deeds such as vanquishing a demon and a curing a possessed king. Maybe the patron god of Rivendale, Aeor, blessed her for her actions against his brother’s champion. Maybe it was Goddess Pearl. She was on good terms with both Gem and Sausage and possibly rewarded Gem for saving Sausage after Gem lived her simple life. For how this fight would occur, Lord Sausage using Regular Sausage’s powers to hop to the past. We haven’t seen Sausage take a person to the future when he travels to the past only items. If I see it happen, I could believe it but now, not too much.
I am personally leaning towards the idea of ascension.

I'm convinced grumbot is the physical incarnation of the Virus that destroyed season 9 world of Hermitcraft. Grian is his unaware minion who dose what grumbot tells him to do. Now that the empires people are on hermitcraft they might not get back that easy. I really fear evil when grumbot told the worlds need to be purged.
Well his evil actions on empires is because of no mumbo but on hermitcraft it's less likely to happened as grian could potentially keep him at bay until mumbo comes back
ok theory: the world of empires s2 might not be the same as empires s1, let me explain. if u remember from Shelby's recent episode, she discovers that the reason the evermoore is haunted is the cause of the gnomes that died there thousands of years ago, and if u remember from s1 shrub's home was in a different universe than empires. this means that maybe we might not be in the original world of empires. if this is the case then that means that all sausages are connected somehow throught different dimensions across the multiverse, this also means that the person who buried sausage in the monument to pearl was either shrub or gem, which means both mit still be alive somewhere. this also means that we might see xor, cause if u remember xor and xornoth were banished to shrub's home, but only xornoth died, and we have no evidence to support that xor was inside of xornoth or died with him so he could be alive somewhere. this theory can explain how the world rekindled after the great rapture, cus we had no proof that xornoth fully corrupted shrub's home, seeminly the corruption left with him, with would leave clean untouch land for new life. that my theory anyway let me know if u can find any other connections :D

prismarina on your theory about wizard gem i have a theory about how that works and it even ties in hc 8
at the end of hermitcraft season 8 gem takes an amethyst crystal through a nether portal covered in amethyst and i think that season 8 gem went to season 1 of empires and when she says she’ll see her friends on the other side she’s talking about her empires friends. i think when she goes through the portal with the amethyst and the moon crashing she gets her wizard gem powers and ends up in empires with no recollection of hermitcraft and when she uses her fire magic to hatch the dragon she starts to unlock her celestial powers and remembers hermitcraft 8 throughout her life as a wizard she perfects this skill and after years and years she wants to see her hermitcraft friends again so she goes to hermitcraft 9 but she also wants to see empires people so she goes to both and that is how the 2 worlds / smps came together.
When machines rise, a folly brought on by being the apple of Grians eye, Mumbo will arrive.
Two worlds in peril, life will be threatened with becoming sterile, only to be stopped by the mustached herald.
I have a theory of my own to explain some discontinuities about Double Life:
HC Pearl isn't the "real" Pearl. I think HC Pearl is actually an alien who came to hermitcraft, and took on the guise of Saint Pearl, who told her about double life so she could pass as her (explaining how she knew about Ren and dripstone). But Saint Pearl never told Alien Pearl about Empires, because she didn't think that Alien Pearl would ever come into contact with them. Saint Pearl probably described Scott and Joel in such a way that Alien Pearl didn't recognize their Lore forms (why Pearl didn't recognize Scott when they met in Chromia even though they were soulmates in double life)
In both these theories the first one is the most dangerous, the second one is easier to handle where a simple phone call from grian can call mumbo to calm down grumbot or a cave in will work. For the first one tho, if wizard gem fails, will everyone start panicking or stand there ground? Also interesting theory I have here, are the watchers a god of the law of lore or are the lore? If we assume they are the God of the law, then grian you better get to evo and get to learning how to control your powers to battle sausage, because God knows is gonna happened to both worlds when he has a power of the shulks, his own abilities, and potentially wizard gems powers and spells, plus all the hermits resources and mabye he will even in slave then thanks to his position as king in hermitcraft.
Ok, I'm not sure if anyone has posed this exact theory before, but I have a Lizzie theory.
Throughout all her series after KingdomCraft, you may have noticed Lizzie has gone... more evil than usual for short periods of time.
Back in KingdomCraft, Lizzie was a well-known villain. Specifically a villain with admin powers. After she destroyed KingdomCraft with her friends, Lizzie may have used her admin powers to live on through the different series Lizzie played afterwards.
But since KingdomCraft Lizzie's admin powers weren't connected to those worlds as an admin, her powers would be a lot weaker. This would mean she could probably only take over for short periods of time or only live in the very back of the minds of the Lizzies from the servers that came after her.
This could explain the random out-of-character amplifications of how evil Lizzie is. It could also be possible that on Afterlife, Lizzie had admin powers so KingdomCraft Lizzie could keep a hold on her for most of her time living as an enigma; an already "evil" and betrayed species.

I kind of hope that some point buildings from empires will fall through the rift from above and land in random locations. Like turn on its side ache, be damaged.(similar to what happens in Mario plus Rabbids kingdom battle. I’m using you as a reference because I don’t know anything else like it.) who knows maybe buildings from across the Multiverse could fall into hermit craft season eight.

Oo! Empire fan theory! So let’s say evil sausage murders wizard Gem, and if Shelby’s grandmother or great, great grandmother was Gem, would Shelby vanish? Or would she go to an “in between place”? Or would Shelby turn into a divine?
If you used to watch Aphmau, in her Mystreet series there was a time where Aphmau got sent into the in between place and met her Devine counter part, maybe this would happen to Shelby and meets (now dead) wizard gem who tells her how to defeat evil sausage who will finally let Shelby show that hoity toity school that she can be a true witch!
I don’t know if this makes any sense but hey it’s a fan theory 😉
I do think if Sausage does get posses it might end up actually be Shellby that fight backs as a last resort of course. :D

Personal HC9 theory - Mumbo has been back! Just before the hermits went to Empires they dethroned Ren and all the Diamonds were stolen/disappeared and Mumbo has declared that He is the richest hermit on the server (HC9 lore) so while the battle was going on he broke in and took the diamonds and are currently safe and secure in his first vault at spawn, which has been conveniently ignored since the building of all the mega-bases.
Just some thoughts.
I don't think Mumbo himself has been on but my theory is that the Hermits decided to get rid of the diamonds by hiding them under Mumbo's base as a welcome back prank.
Wizard gem is over thousand years old, but our gem isn't. We don't know if gem made a time traveling version of herself or is Immortal. so she could still possiblity be Shelby's grandmother.
@Prismarina, did you know the constellation ⭐️ Gemini is know as The Twins so maybe celestial gem is a goddess that is the embodiment of the constellation which may represent the two siblings from 1,000+ years ago

If hermes makes it over to hermit craft, would it not be awesome if the rift aged him, and he decided he wanted to stay in hermit craft, at the same time a new grumbot is built in empires, but he's not Ermbot, and he likes it on empires. so when the rift eventually closes each server has a legacy character of the other.

Not that your theory isn't accurate that Supreme and Wizard Gem are going to have a battle (it's possible), but maybe it won't be Wizard Gem.
Because Gem has stated at least once, Wizard Gem is not the same as the Gem we see in Hermitcraft.
Could Hermitcraft Gem fight Supreme without either of their magic? Sure!
But I'm basing it off what she has said :)

I have a theory... When Shelby went to chromia for dye so that she could build a pumpkin house, before she entered the dye cart that Scott built Shelby said that cart looked familiar... Could Shelby be the one who gave Scott that eye because in his backstory video his cart was with him so most probably Shelby is the one who took did that to his eye but doesen't remember because of the deep lore... Now that they're in the hermit craft server I believe the lore has been cut in the middle and could continue later
Or maybe someone had the academy has a similar cart....

The law of lore thing reminds me of the Irminsul wipe thing that happened recently where they erase all the information about someone and then all information involving that person are instead filled by other people/similar events

As my fellow theorist have mentioned that all grumbots are connected so the HC grumbot should know that the emperors had blown up the other grumbot.. HC grumbot can take action against them now... he could trap the emperors in HC and the few that are still in empires will be separated... Grumbot could do anything to the emperors in HC... The emperors are in grave danger ... anyways that's another theory... Doesen't have to be true
I have a theory about Sausage and the evil king. What if the evil king after sausage is actually evil sausage of Mythland? When evil Sausage finally finds his way to the future, what if it uses all of his power and he doesn't make it quite to the time he was willing for. Then he uses his influence to become King and looks for young Sausage. He knows that this Sausage will have powers and needs those powers to get his own back, that is why young Sausage is hunted down. In the art of Sausages backstory you can see a resemblance to the evil king and Sausage.
Just more reasons for mumbo to return so we can have Mumbo for Sheriff campaign. #MumboforSheriff
They could have avoided to having to destroy that Grumbot if they just introduced him to mayor Lizzie and made him believe that she was this universe version of Mumbo. :D

Since grumbot is a mixture of grian mumbo and robot it got its name but this time in empires impulse did the redstone instead of grumbot... So this is a slightly different version of grumbot. Could this be the reason why grumbot asked for mumbo first?... Is this why grumbot is slightly evil here.... Anyways... Why doesen't grian build a different robot instead of grumbot cause grumbots main purpose is to make mumbo mayor but if he builds a new type of robot its programs are different and will be functioning as a proper AI robot....

🫤 HermitCraft as a whole has rarely committed 100% to telling a server wide story. It’s just not their thing. I doubt anything comes of Grumbot being destroyed. Though I’m usually wrong. Much like Doc and Ren in season 8 I can easily see Grain continuing that story; however, story telling is not his thing.
The story of the two False… Falses(?) False’s(?) just kind of fizzled out. Much like the overall story of the Rift.
As HermitCraft is slowly getting back up from Christmas, New Years, and the low rates of views during Jan. I don’t expect anything further with the Rift after it closed on HermitCraft.
As for Empires… I don’t expect anymore mention on their side either, outside of False’s last Empires video.
i believe when the empirers of empires return to the world of empires ( lmao ) grumbot would have destroyed it already or was abt to, i think they will return because hermes would come through the portal to warn them just in time
I’ve actually had that theory about the rift for awhile now, that or the rift was more unstable from one side (but that would not really make sense)
