Thank you for this video. I've watched a few about this foot but they didn't show how this foot is different from the standard brother walking foot. Worth the extra cost.
As wonderful as you think your regular walking foot is the Dynamic version is just that. Dynamic. I was having problems with my original one giving me intermitant awful stitches on the back of my quilt and after turning a corner on binding the corner would get caught under it. So off to the store I went yesterday. Was first horrified at the price but figured I had enough fabric to work with I could spend the money on a good tool. Worth. Every.Penny. Thankfully my quilt shop gives a 20% discount on accessories if you bought your machine from them so I'm thrilled.
Very helpful. I just purchased a Brother CS700i, and was confused why the manual tells me not to use the walking foot that came with the machine for decorative stitches. The instructions only allow a straight or zig zag stitch with the walking foot. I’m brand new to quilting and everyone in the quilt group I joined uses their walking foot to do curvilinear stitching for quilting (the wavy stitch). The manual states that the walking foot is not made to handle any reverse stitches, but that wavy stitch (and a few others) don’t require any reverse stitches. It’s a help to know that this dynamic walking foot is a better option. Frankly, the walking foot that came with the machine is not doing a good job on a quilt sandwich using the zig zag stitch. The stitching is very uneven. Could be the operator however😅.
@stlmama7643 Yes this foot is fantastic for those decorative stitches when quilting! It also has the interchangeable toes which makes it super versatile!
Hello Sir, very nice demonstration. I've just very recently learnt how to use a sewing machine though I've got knowledge of sewing as I've always been a hand sewing person. I want to do some quilt placemats using 2 cotton fabric and batting. Having watched different tutorials, some recommend the use of a walking foot. My sewing machine (a Silver Crest brand from Lidl) does not have this equipment and it seems it's difficult to get one. My query is, should I face any difficulty using the standard presser foot of the machine, or this might cause a problem either to the machine or the finish look of the placemat? Thank you in advance for your time and help. Happy Holidays, Greetings from Cyprus 🎄☃️🎅🎁
@annitagalvan9049 It is best if you can use a walking foot. If you can take your foot pressure right off you could possibly be able to get no puckering. Baste the three layers really well together before starting.
I just bought a brother after using an older singer. The plastic walking foot that comes with the NEW brother goes on crooked when it is attached securely. Thus risking a broken needle and possibly more damage. I hope brother isn't going to change an arm and a leg for a proper walking foot that should have been provided when their machines are purchased.
@pansysandra If you are having issues, best to contact where you purchased the foot and they will be able to assist you. It may need a slight adjustment.
@rebwolfe2702 Thank you for watching. You can purchase the Driver Assembly (the screwdriver) from us if you give us a call as it is not listed on our website.
That is the reason I don’t really care for the walking foot with my machine because the pressure foot is to tight on the quilt sandwich. I sure would like to know the price of this foot and IF it fits on my machine. Baby Lock Presto 2
I just got this foot and I found I had to adjust the thread tension to get a good stitch. The only problems are that sometimes I get loopy stitches, and also in reverse mode, the top stitches get wonky after about an inch. ANy advice?
@knittysong There could be a few things happening and we would need to problem solve with you. Which machine are you using? What thread are you using and what are you stitching on?
@@EchidnaClub I am using the Brother Simplicity SB3150 which is like the Babylock Brilliant. The problem happened with fleece fabric, polyester sew-all thread and I tried stretch, ballpoint and universal needles.
@knittysong With any fabric it is normal to adjust the tension to suit what you are stitching on. If the fabric is not a light one, we would recommend you use at least a size 12/80 - if it is a stretch fabric, use a stretch needle. Sometimes to get it to stitch nicely on stretch, a stabiliser does help as well, depending on what you are sewing.
I have the Brother LS1500. I don't know if it's high or low shank?? Will this fit my machine. I bought a generic and it wouldn't work. The needle screw was in the way. I'm so confused. I sew heavy thick items of fleece and uhaul padding.
Hi, just wondering if you mean you have the PQ1500? This machine would have come with its own walking foot. if you give us a call on 1800 000 360 we can help you if you are in Australia

Is the dynamic walking foot compatible with Brother SE625? I checked the webpage, and my model is not listed. I don't want to buy something that will not function properly on my machine, but I sure would love to have it. Great video! Thank you in advance.
@@EchidnaClub Thank you so much. Saw your response last night, and purchased the Dynamic Walking Foot today. Can't wait to try it out. NOTE: Difficult to find around my area. Had to leave the state to get one. :)
The camera man is terrible! He should pause video or something get a close up shot when you are showing very specific details. Most of the videos are like this. The guy explains why good but we need to see the actual thing your doing and when you show what the part is your talking about he should be zoomed in at least.
Just bought one from your Melbourne store and came home and had no problems fitting to my 150. Ladies were really helpful. Thanks
Great to hear! Thank you for your feedback! :)

@stevencmillin2737 We totally agreee with you! Such a great addition to use with your machine!
Outstanding tutorial. Very systematic and informative.
@suetownsend1656 Thank you for your feedback and for watching our video!
Another great innovation from brother.
Excellent vid Gary.
Thank you! Cheers!
I would love a close up showing how to attach this foot to a Brother high shank machine with the low shank adapter like the VQ3000.
Thank you Lorraine for your feedback. Definitely something we can look at.
Really fine video. Thank you for the information and demonstration.

Thank you. Will this Dynamic Walking Foot fit my basic Brother AE1700? Your video is the best I’ve seen.
@susanalison5101 Unfortunately your machine is only a 5mm stitch width machine, this foot is for use on 7mm machines.

Which walking foot and which machine did you purchase? We can help if you are having difficulties.
Hi it’s a. Great machin but why does my sole constantlyfalll off
@pansysandra If you are having issues, best to contact where you purchased the foot and they will be able to assist you. It may need a slight adjustment.
It is compatible with Singer sewing machine? It looks very durable.
@allison2095 It is a Brother foot so can not give you an absolute answer. You would need to try it to be sure.
Out of curiosity, would this foot work on the PQ1600 straight stitch machine?
Unfortunately, this foot isn't compatible with the PQ1600 machine.
Do you know if Quilting Toe Set for Dynamic Walking Foot quilting bar will work in the ankle only?
Hi there, the toe set will only attach to the Dynamic Walking foot. You aren't able to use the foot plates with the ankle only.
@@EchidnaClub thank you I meant will the quilting guide bars slide in the hole that’s in the ankle without the dynamic walking foot?
@raggedyanna6 Yes you can :)

Hi @user-xtmu7ep4k it would work similar to the BabyLock Dynamic Walking Foot available in America:

@EdnaBrock-cb3sh Yes this will fit the NV2700 machine, get foot to have as an extra!
Sorry, I misstated the model #. I should have asked you if it would fit a GS2700 Brother Sewing machine.
It won't fit the GS2700 as it is a 5mm machine, the foot is used with 7mm machines.
