Appreciate the tip about having the check valve closer to water level. For aesthetic reasons I have always kept mine inside my cabinets but I never have timed how long it took to build up enough co2 in the tubes to push all the water out to start diffusing.
Your videos are great! Solid information
Great detail as always Kalem. Thank you for sharing this!
been looking for a video like this! Super straight forward thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
When I started out in the hobby, I would either dose liquid carbon or have a co2 system. Now, I just find it more work than I really wanted, having to trim or remove excess plants wasn't fun.
Thats totally fair. I love getting my hands in the tanks so CO2 gives me a reason frequently
What’s a good carpeting plant? I’ve had no success with Monte Carlo :( I have crypts should I let them carpet? It’s going to take time but it’s doable :)
Definitely doable with crypts but takes a really long time maybe try dwarf sagittaria
@@KalemsFishtanks I have dwarf sagittaria but for some reason it stoped growing
@@rubenl.r.1256 maybe try adding some root tabs or depending on your substrate fertilizer
sorry to bother you! don't have an Instagram....I got a milwaukee 957 like you, set it up on a 24 oz paintball tank.
80psi left gauge. 1 psi right gauge. when It shuts off for the night it has 1 psi, but when I come back in he morning I right gauge has 0 psi again....I cant find a leak personally....is 1 psi not enough pressure? or should I look harder for a leak? TYSM I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS YOU GOT ME INTO PLANTED AQUARIUMS 💙💙💙
I assume you have a paintball canister adapter on correct? Or maybe its one built for paintball tanks idk ive never kept milwaukees. I think you have have to adjust the pressure it goes up to Im honestly not sure though I do not have that regulator
@@KalemsFishtanks okay thank you! Maybe I was mistaken on the regulator you suggested 😅😅 thank you! I'll keep looking!
@@joshuapage7108 oh yeah i think i did recommend that one 😅 I only used it for a short period but i rememner theres some things that need to be done while setting it up. Something to do with the little screwdriver If I remember correctly
@@KalemsFishtanks 🤭🤭 I'll look it over a bit closer. Admittedly I got a bit excited when it arrived. 😋
