    At best I was on the fence with this one but you’ve confirmed that unfortunately there’s really nothing there for me this time, which I very much appreciate! Thanks a lot for the video, which I definitely enjoyed all the same!

      No problem, happy to help. That's really the point.. is this cart for you? I think aa we go further, there will be a lot of folks maybe only picking up the carts they want rather than just collecting all of them.

    Good video and very fair review. Overall I think this is a troubling trend for Evercade. Piko1 still stands out as one of the best and most unique carts in how many games, how varied and how much time you can put into the games onto the cart. I almost think they spoiled me and I now hold everyone to too high a standard. Piko2 while having fewer games, I could respect how they still had 13 and put all their sports and racing games into one package (though thankfully they threw Top Racer on Piko1). So the cart wasn't for me but I would completely understand those looking for some sports and racing games would find that cart appealing and it has an audience and that audience would really enjoy it. But now, we're down to 10 games and at a point where pretty much every Evercade game on Amazon in the US costs over $25, I'm bummed out to see what they're offering. When I saw the initial list I thought Zero Tolerance is fun and Sword of Sodan is often listed as one of the worst Genesis games but other commenters told me I should check out the NES and GBA games as they're true highlight and to me they look... okay I guess. So I feel like this is a good start but needs at least a few more games and at least one more seller to be a good buy but that's just my opinion. The Team17 on the other hand, I'm very anxious to get into some Alien Breed :-) and I'm really curious to see what Evercade presents at the announcement in a couple of days.

      Sadly looks like we already know at least 2 collections that were leaked. But I'm expecting something bigger than this.. plus possible peripherals or something with this Hyper Mega Tech nonsense.

      @francescosmith7859 Před rokem

      @@CrazyBurger oh yeah, I saw your video about the leak. I'll hope for more and really hope they're thinking about some new controllers. Joysticks for the C64 and Amiga (which might also be really fun for all the Atari collections) and/or maybe an arcade stick. For this last one I know it's a stretch but I really hope they'll reconsider the pack in for the VS. TechnosArcade1 is mostly a stinker and while I really enjoy DataEastArcade1, I'm bummed I had to buy the bigger pack to get it. I think the EXP sets a high bar with what comes with it and maybe they'll make a change for VS.

      I’m finding it very hard to use the evercade exp - the d pad just isn’t right, I do wish evercade could work out an attachment to let me connect a controller to the handheld (via usb c port) and at same time hdmi out to screen.

    WOW! It's neat seeing 40 Winks running on Evercade, with most things being 2D... a 3D World is like mind blowing lol. Zero Tolerance at 60hz is cool, makes it more responsive to play than 50hz. Thanks for showing these games, I had not got around to seeing them all and only tried Zero Tolerance quickly. Cheers Crazy! 👍

    Its nice that we finally got a collection 3 cartridge now. Despite having a few decent games on Piko 2. Piko 3 is already way better than Piko 2 by a landslide. It definitely won't beat Piko 1 one though. I can never get enough of that collection. I was certainly digging that soundtrack on the second stage of radical bikers. That game along with zero tolerance and 40 winks will be the main ones ill be playing first.

    @PongbyAtari Před rokem +1

    Being with the Evercade I have noticed in general there putting less titles on the carts. I think there getting the most out of the licensing agreements and from here out we will see more follow up collections with less titles. I do have this cart and the Amiga Collection pre ordered and should have them in sometime next week.

    • @obsoleteworlds
      @obsoleteworlds Před rokem +1

      Yes, sadly I think that's down to them having no real long term business plan at the time. I think they've re-evaluated what people will pay for and its unlikely we'll ever get a 20 game collection again.
      I'm a huge C64 fan but those two carts should have been one collection, as should the Intellivision. They are spreading them out too thin and that's why stuff like Sword of Sodan irks people now when crap like Magic Girl didn't on the original collection.

    I wonder if the extra Zero Tolerance content, the Sega CD bonus levels & alpha sequel, are hidden on this cart. They are on the other consoles though you have to complete the game to get the alpha sequel to appear. I'm curious how this is to play on such a small screen like the EXP. The Immortal was the game that sold me on Piko 1 and unfortunately it's much too small on the EXP to enjoy so I'm not so quick on this cart for that reason.
    Zero Tolerance is a lot of fun once you start to pick up on a few things about how the game works which aren't immediately apparent. Once you start to notice how some things work in the game that are unlike any other FPS, it's easier to progress through and it helps you to implement some strategy which will especially come in handy when it introduces the dogs. It has a TON of levels to get through. It will start to feel like it goes on forever with levels. The boss at the end is fun to take on too and not too tough if you are well prepared when you get there. Good luck getting past that sniper on the roof though, that is a PAIN to figure out how to get past.

    I watched your vid when you released it Crazy Burger. But I felt I had to stew on what I thought about it, and your experience of it. Maybe it is an automatic expectation that your want a Piko collection to be good?! (since the the First set the standard!). Like I’ve said before. I think this is a return to for a Piko collection! But I have to say. Truthfully. I think is MOSTLY bargain bin filler games! With perhaps ONLY a “few” good games on it. Which have been added to help sell the cart better?! I don’t think that I am alone in thinking this. With LESS games on it for our money, and prices of things skyrocketing. Is this now acceptable anymore?! 🤔. That said. I don’t personally think it’s worth buying. ‘Sword of Sodan’ should perhaps have been a secret game. Unlocked using the Two cartridge system! Hopefully the “Big” SHOWCASE reveal SOON. Will give us better stuff? That will blow the likes of this cart out of the water! But like I said. Not a bad cart. It’s ok at best. With some fun to be had. If your prepared to invest more time into difficult, seemly lack lustre games? 🤔

    • @CrazyBurger
      @CrazyBurger  Před rokem

      Yeah you definitely need to invest time into it to get the best out of it. A bit like the c64 cart 2. But agree it is a collation of cheap to license games. Not massive by any means. Still it's not the worst by a long way.

    "40 Winks" is ok (even if not memorable) and the inclusion of the unreleased GBC version of "Radikal Bikers" is a nice touch, but all the rest goes from forgettable (Zero Tolerance aged absolutely badly) to total crap like "Sword of Sodan"?! HOW DARE YOU, PIKO?! 🙄
