One of my favorite songs by one of the best bands ever !!
Goosebumps right from the start. This is a masterpiece. We miss you Brad Delp.
My goosebumps had feathered bangs and blue eyeshadow!!
The soaring vocals of Brad Delp and the orchastral haunting guitar of Tom Scholz! Beautiful song, timeless classic!!!
This entire album brings back memories of summer nites in the 80s hanging with my close friend. RIP Tony. I miss you and We will cruise again one day in heaven
Love this song!
Beatiful .
Probably my favorite song of Boston .
Change name and ready .for You 🌹
Wow. I have so much to say about this track and the album that it came from. Being from Massachusetts, I of course grew up listening to these guys. Every one of their releases was amazing, but as far as the best one? I have to go with Third Stage hands down. I remember I bought it on cassette and practically wore it out. The promotional line from the Boston media and their label when it was released was simple and hard hitting all at once. "BOSTON BLASTS BACK"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yes they did. It was worth the wait. Now, I didn't know anyone by the name of Hollyann personally, but the lyrics still spoke to me as a teenager and into young adulthood. This is without a doubt my favorite album by Boston and one of the two best tracks from it. We lost Brad Delp wayyyyy too early. But his legacy and music lives on. Thanks for posting this!
Always been my favorite song by Boston...so much so that I named my baby girl Hollyann! ❤ We both like your video 😊👍
@Christopher Scholar Thanks for your comment! Hollyann is a beautiful girl's name!! ❤️
I'll bet your daughter is as beautiful as her name. :)
GREAT audio and video Rick..KILLER SONG!!!..Thanks for sharing! RIP Brad Delp.
Thanks so much David!
What a great song the melody awesome one of my favorites great drummer what can I say just awesome 👌. Thanks great video.
Boston's great sound comes from an invention made by Engineer Tom Scholz. The device "delayed" the music/guitar and then repeated it just a fraction of a second later, causing a fuller sound. This is why that one guitar always sounded like a whole room of guys in near sync. Put on some really good headphones and listen closely...you might just hear it. When you do, you'll realize his genius. His company is called Rockman. Check it out.
What was this thing called
@@a.lhatfield7375The Rockman. Pretty popular device.
Wow!!!👏👌🥰
AWESOME ! ...Great job with the video!
👍🏼 Maybe I still have the cassette.........
Awesome Rick!
Thanks so much Gary!

This takes me into a past life....I was a wreck....After starting over, I did great...But still a wreck....Im now old enough to forget my name, but wounds and heart ache are timeless, in the vacuum of pain ,the silent screams mean nothing.
Iove you dad...But I don't miss you.
Poetry
Pretty sure the chorus goes: "Hollyann, We made the dark into light." .... then "A million hands gave the sign. We held the line."
@jtscott3776 You're correct, that's what searching the internet for the song's lyrics says. But, it doesn't mean it's etched in stone. Sometimes these lyrics sites are simply wrong, or, Brad decided to change a word or two when he sang. To my ears, I hear him sing "A million hands gave the sign, we held the way" I definitely hear a "W" sound and not an "L" sound 🤷
I also heard "we held the way" @@RickNeedham
I can hear it both ways depending on which lyric I'm watching as he sings it. But line and sign rhyme, and way doesn't really make sense. Either way, thanks as always for the upload. Always good work.

So why would do Brad Delph take his Life?
Talented Singer
Visual lyrics
I personally don't hear pain
I do
You may not hear it but it's there. Subtle but there. What you DO hear is soul, passion, and heart. And that's how we should remember Brad...he sang from the heart. And he took his own life because his demons got the best of him. He saw no other way out.
