Not to be disrespectful to the stylist but so much thinning with the shears makes it look damaged and too thin. Maybe just use thinning shears on the ends for the shatter. 🤷♀️

Agreed, definitely too much thinning! A stylist used a razor instead of thinning shears on me once & it turned out like this. Damaged looking. It looked like split ends all over my hair. I cried after I left. It took about six months to get it back to normal.

It looks more like a shag cut vs bob cut. I would be in tears leaving her chair with that as a bob cut
Why take off SO MUCH after the cut? It's already super layered with this cut, but it appears too thin and damaged now.😔
Have to agree. She cut off way too much hair. And the final bang cut was not necessary at all, in reality, the bang will come in the eye all the time due to the length . I would cry after the cut.

We did these cuts years ago and we called them shags. This doesn't look like a bob at all. It is a very nice cut though.

This is not a bob. A bob is never longer in the back in relation to the sides.. this is just a layer cut. Hairdresser of 46 years..

The people in these replies slamming the hairstylist are ignorant to the fact that this is a SHAG cut, mislabeled as a Bob and this is exactly what a shag should look like. It’s perfect for coarse, thick hair.
For me,the normal way to layered must section by section and easy to do and right way,just only for me
Too faffy if she'd stopped after the two pony's it would have been great, but to continue cutting it went too far started to look too thin

@@lightscameratamara I had the long hair and followed the CZcams video where you put a ponytail in the front of the head/forehead and cut which was the best haircut of my life. The only problem was it grew to the middle of my back and I could not figure out how to cut it shorter. I went to the beauty shop for a short bob which threw me into a depression and grew out so thick and boxy. This cut atleast helped me put some layers back in it to tone down the Raggety Ann look. It is past my shoulders but not long enough for a ponytail on the forehead cut (which I CANNOT wait).
I cannot wait to get my hair back to the way it used to be even if it gets too long. My hair would get natural corkscrew curls with the way it used to be. Never again.

This is not a bob, the back is much longer then the sides. This is just a modified layer cut.

Yes......hold the top pony up & cut. Then hold the back pony up & try & get it even with the top pony & cut. Then thin with thinning shears... I got mine on Amazon for about 8 bucks. The only thing I did different was to use the "Sam Villa" twist cut method for my bangs. I've done his twist method a lot & it turns out perfect every time! Others don't care for the shattered shag look but I love it...

When I used to get haircuts at the salon, I always asked the stylist to *Not* use the thinning shears on my hair! I don't like those thinning shears! I went to the salon to get a cut and have it be a noticeable and healthy haircut not thin, broken, and unhealthy looking worse than before I got it cut.
My question: if she cut less hair the hair cut will look better?
