      The reason your prints took ages to load onto the printer is the kitbashing you did likely created a massive file because it wasn't optimised

    That ork is quite literally Tuska Daemon Killa. He's an ork that spilled so much blood in the warp that Khorne resurrects him every time he dies. Which is funny since your model has tusks on it.

    Personally I want to see more of the “orks riding tyranids” stuff! Like instead of a Killa-Kan, what about a boy riding a Carnifex?
    Edit; 2000 boys

    Love this model. Not an Orc fan myself but I can't lie that orcs do look cool! I know you aren't a fan of painting but damn does this model look amazing how you've painted it.

  • @francescogiuliopignatelli2915

    Soooo.... If we are talking about putting on table the Green tide the only reasonable number is obviously 120! The maximum amount possible! Btw great model!

    Orks will sometimes fall to nurgle "because he's da biggest n' greenest". And stormboyz are known to fall to khorne

    I feel like orks following khorne just makes sense, it's quite literally their idea of heaven. Constant fighting. Not sure about other chaos factions but khornite orks sounds correct imo

      Tuska Daemon Killa, the ork who discovered khorne demons, started fighting them and now khorne keeps reviving him so he(and his mob) can keep fighting in Khorne's realm forever.

    If the supports are struggling to come off I would recommend dipping the model in hot(not boiling) water for just a second. It really helps me remove them.

  • @phuntymes
    @phuntymes Před 2 měsíci

    120 boys! Plus a small elite force, so da big boss can get some propa respekt 😎

  • @emmamarx9284
    @emmamarx9284 Před 2 měsíci

    If I could recommend washing them with the supports on and then with the model “cleaned” drop them in a lil tub of warm water (you don’t need hot, it’ll make the smaller details more prone to ripping off if it’s too hot) Then let the models sit in for like a min or two and then the supports come off with little to no effort and it reduces scarring significantly in my experience. It changed my whole printing process and made removing supports a simpler task. You still do need to be careful with supports on spindly bits just like you normally would but chunkier models like orky bois basically “fall off the bone” they’re so damn easy to remove (which I just printed a firefight team of recently 😊)

    Us Mac users have no easy way to run 3D builder. I’ve looked into it. Although I Intel chip Mac’s so I could probably run windows. Also, the slowest success is faster than the fastest failure.

    I had no idea I was overexposing my prints until I used the Cones of Calibration, turns out I was exposing everything for nearly 3 times as long as I needed to.
    I love the minimal Ork stylin'.

    • @mykeh3155
      @mykeh3155 Před 2 měsíci +1

      That's fine if you are going for supports that are extremely easy to remove, but some resins/printers do require more time to get dimensional accuracy.
      Print settings is a game of balance, ease of use vs quality, sometimes you are lucky and get both, sometimes you have to pick one over the other or find a comfortable middle ground. Even the people behind various tensile strength tests say that it's not for getting the right settings, that they are only for calibrating for tensile strength, essentially setting the minimum you should be using for the average presupported model.

    • @emmamarx9284
      @emmamarx9284 Před 2 měsíci

      Agreed, I slightly overexpose models with spindly bits or fine supports just to make sure everything prints correctly. It’s generally worth the extra couple minutes of print time to eliminate failures.

    A green tide is always double what you think you need raised to the 10th power with the option to add a few thousand more boys. You know you have enough when the table is so green it could double for a golf course.

    Your painting skills and use of the airbrush are improving though.
