I used to do that trick years ago, now I use my Blue Bowl. We used to use the old shag carpet and bury it in a stream and months later go back take it out and dry it and then burn the carpet and pan the ashes.

It really works well, if you don’t have a blue bowl, gold cube, spiral wheel, or any other expensive fine gold recovery equipment.

Felt works really good tpo brother
When I did this before, it was a big piece of red and black felt that I found buried in the creek at my claims. It looked like it was washed down the creek for many years.
More flow or remove the large riffles.
As slow as you are feeding it the gold should be in the top right where you are feeding it.

Your video is my life when trying to recover micro gold. Blue bowl, millers table are the worst thing to use now I just do chemical separation with aqua regia to recover the micro gold.
