    Sorry can’t see why you did that to that nice of car. With all the frame modification, why not fine a crappy car that would have work just as well to road race. You can’t get the old car back now. What a waist.

      Yeah, this was a bad choice. Once you make that many mods, there's no point using an original, mint-condition car as your base. This car should have been respected for what it was. There are other Camaros out there for this purpose.

    Why put a belt instead of a chain?

    • @HunterRitchie
      @HunterRitchie Před 4 lety +2

      Less engine harmonics and stress on the camshaft. On an engine that's gonna see mostly street use or occasional drag strip use would be fine with a chain. But an engine that's gonna live at higher rpm for extended periods of time benefits from the belt, for longevity. Not to mention it's easier to set and adjust camshaft timing.

    If this car is a ‘73 then why doesn’t it have the 5 mph bumpers mandated for model year 1973? I say it’s a ‘71 or ‘72. Am I wrong here?

    • @blautens
      @blautens Před 4 lety

      1973 still had the split bumpers. 1974 is when they went to the larger bumper you're thinking of.

      Jeremy McClanahan nobody! And I mean Nobody! Would register their car in California. Taxes are crazy high and you have to renew every year. It’s a tax hungry hell hole. Every year they want 167 dollar just to register my 40 pound dog.

      @@kmoss9521 Did you ever think that maybe there are licensing fee benefits for military personnel? Like, the California DMV waves vehicle licensing fees to them.
      Also, a portion of California DMV fees are considered personal property taxes. Guess what....personal property taxes are tax deductible.
      In my initial statement, I said that someone can register their vehicle in one sate but be a resident of another. Never did I say that it is a good idea or a bad idea. I have provided you with just a few DMV benefits for California that might help make sense of why someone would.
