It was an amazing weekend. Though Optic win the tournament but I think SSG deserve to win because they play so many game in one day but hey gg SSG.
They had to play more games because they were in the elimination bracket

Optic deserved to win this one to prove they still had it in them after all the painful losses from the previous few majors
But for Worlds... Well I think every team deserves to win it since they've all been playing spectacularly well and giving it their all, but only one can lift the trophy, and I think the most exciting team to do so is SSG (or Quadrant!)

Formal almost dropped a 3kd in a game 7 and his tms almost kept him alive at the end. He could be the GOAT of all halos. He has been super good at so many games. His reticle moves differently under pressure tbh it’s not moving it seems to become more steady under pressure

It’s more about the present reticle I see now and formals reticle is far ahead of ogre 2s reticle in quite a few of the halos. I understand the tournament wins and all that but as of rn he is not the best reticle in any of the halos possibly CE and h2 still but doubtful. Some kids have spent their whole life playing one halo. I assure you Tylenul would destroy ogre 2 in halo 3 for example. I’m js that as of rn Formals reticle is the best if not Lucids. Regardless formal is one of the few players that have been beyond great at multiple halos especially since reach. But I’m sure you’ll misread again.

Are there any videos out there that explain the gamemodes and strats? I come from the COD scene so I'm wanting to learn more
Play the game, that is how you will learn the gamemodes. As for strategies; Shyway has a video on his channel of him getting coached by a former pro Halo player and it is very insightful into universally applicable Halo strategies. I believe its called “I Got Coached by a Halo 2 Pro”.
Edit: DoddsMcfodds also has some good videos an gamemode specific strategies.
Team slayer is basically team deathmatch in cod
Capture the flag is way you need to get the enemy flag to your base. But your flag also has to be back in your nase to score
Oddball is where you carry the ball until either the time runs out of you get to 100 seconds
Oddball in a best of 3 rounds
When the ball it dooped the time runs down
Strongholds is where when you capture 2 or 3 holds you gain points. It goes to 250 points.
King of the hill. Is like call of duty hill game mode

I like where your are going but my concern is the losers are comming off warmed up and ready to go as they just played where as the winners have been on standby since their winners semi. JUst my two cents.

CODs pro scene system is like that, and it makes watching GF pretty boring since the winners bracket team have little to no advantage, sometimes it's even the losers bracket team that has the advantage because they're coming in hot off the momentum
Just take a look at the comments of COD pros reacting to Optic's win during reset, most agree that CDL needs to change the GF system to either a Bo5 reset or a Bo7 reset because the system as-is is not very engaging to watch
