Do you still need to connect a speaker to the Audio Out jack to get sound even though the DVR is connected to the TV by an HDMI cable which surely should be carrying both video and audio signals?
What kind of speaker can I use to listen to the video? I have a self powered speaker in the shop with rca connection but i cant hear the audio I recorded. Thanks.
Hello, this Video is older and likely outdated for this information. That said unless your camera has a volume menu from its OSD or interface you might not be able to adjust this function. Often when a camera possesses the ability for audio out it is connected to an external powered speaker which itself has volume control for output level.
hi anyone help me i have a 8 channel dvr with 4 cams channel 4 has a separate mic problem is i can hear audio no problem in real time but on playback there is no sound ?? anyone know wat the issue could be here ??

It will play through the HDMI yea, so you don't need speakers unless it's a computer monitor

Hi, when i export the H.264 file its recorded sound is not working, all i have is video, how can i export the audio as well.
I'm using a floureon Chinese 1080n ahd shitty dvr would it work with that?

hi there, how do you "increase the output" audio on the CCTV? So when I talk via the phone app, my volume through the CCTV camera is increased..
