Here is another question, why would the rest of the so called "believers" still sit under Diotrephes, in "his" assembly/church?, they saw what was going on, the reason I believe they were afraid they would be kicked out, just like the parents of the blind man in the book of John... Those pew warmers were trusting in Diotrephes, not Jehovah like the 3rd chapter of Proverbs, verse 5.
