  • I used to play keeping my instrument horizontal on the legs, but I've always seen other musician playing differently and I really wanted to learn to play also with the instrument "standing".
    I'm not fully confidential with it, but I understood it can be useful sometimes, depending on what you have to play! :)
    ...sorry for the little worse sound quality, I'm quarantine and don't have any recording equipment except my trusty little recorder.

      If I should describe in few words the difference between the two models, the resonance tagelharpa is the model with the most defined, clear and powerful sound. High frequencies are well highlighted and are not covered by drones. The mahogany tagelharpa has also a characteristic but different sound, slightly lower in volume, with a more open and little harsher sound, and very present harmonics; in its whole, the drones are more present than the resonance model 🙂

    • @ebanisteria.musicale
      @ebanisteria.musicale  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you so much! 🖤
      Yes, I used to play more often with the instrument horizontal: I still like it and, if I had to suggest, it's the way I would recommend a beginner to start, the instrument is more stable and it is possible to focus better on the movements and sound emission.
      Now I have to say I alternate them, horizontal and inclined, depending on what I have to play. I find them both confortable and more efficient for different things.
      And yes, we have a small workshop! :)
      Thank you again for your kind words!

    Have you considered making a tagelharpa with a curved bridge? While I love the sounds of your instruments, it seems to me that the melody is somewhat buried when there are two drones playing at the same time.

    • @ebanisteria.musicale
      @ebanisteria.musicale  Před 4 lety +3

      Hi Krzysztof, you're right! The sound quality doesn't help, but with this mahogany model
      the low frequencies are predominant on the high ones, creating a really full sound that I love, but with melodies not as defined as other models.
      I am studying on other models with different characteristics including those you are talking about, I hope to be able to present something new in that sense soon! 🙂

      Ciao Francesco, grazie mille, sono contentissima che ti piaccia la sua voce! 😄
      Mi fa davvero piacere che tu abbia deciso di avvicinarti a questo strumento, ti posso assicurare che non te ne pentirai :)
      Ognuno ha un approccio diverso, ma se dovessi darti un consiglio sarebbe quello di non stancarti e di mantenere la costanza nello studio quotidiano soprattutto i primi tempi; le prime due settimane possono essere frustranti, e in molti si demoralizzano o smettono di esercitarsi tutti i giorni. Tieni botta e ti assicuro che vedrai progressi velocemente! 🙂
      Per esercizi specifici, dipendendo anche dal tuo strumento, se contatti il tuo costruttore ti darà sicuramente delle indicazioni e dritte utili, in generale lavorare sulle corde vuole o singole note è sempre un ottimo esercizio per imparare gestire l'uscita e la tenuta del suono! 🙂
