Thank you for all of the amzing videos... they have helped me quite a bit! I do have one issue that I would greatly apprecaite any help with:
I am running Emulationstation as my frontend, with Retroarch as the emulator. The problem comes when in the actual game settings section for PS2 in ES - there is no option to choose the PCSX2 core, but instead runs the game through the standalone. While I am happy it works, I really want everything running through RA, as all my hotkeys are setup to my liking. In addition, I defintely have the core downloaded and in all the respective folders, as it shows as a core in ES, BUT not as an option to choose when actually starting the game.
Anyway, any input would be very helpful, thank you again!
Emulation station needs to be configured to run the PCSX2 core. This can be done via the config file. Set it up to run pS2 games from the core in Retroarch.

Sounds like you need to change your video drivers.

My computer seems to be too slow to run a game, it closes after the title screen is there a fix or just need a better computer?
when pointing the emulator to my bios files I get this error message:
CPU provider error:
Virtual memory map failed while reserving 'SuperVU1 Recompiler Cache':
SuperVU failed to allocate virtual memory below 256MB.
Is this error message something I can fix and how do I fix it? Any help would be appreciated.

Go into the cores folder and then download it again inside of RA.
It says, error loading content at the moment of emulate
Either bios is wrong or your game rip is bad.
@@JustJamie1983 I managed to fix and launch games, but now my problem is that games work awful, games like shadow of the colosus, god of war 2, they have shadow and ligthing problem, and the sound quality is also bad D:
by the way, my specs are 1080, ryzen 5 3600x 16gbram 3200mhz ssd1tb.

my pcsx is having a problem launching games.
i have the bios, i have the .ISO file, load into retrobat and select the game. the opens the screen to launch, then closes
Do you get a bios warning on launch? Have you tried a different core?
@@JustJamie1983 no bios warning. it just pulls up the game as i launch it then immediately closes

Is it possible to add more cores to systems but to retrobat? I know it comes with some by default but anyway to add your own core and have it reflect in retrobat for retroarch? Be a cool video to see if possible.
Not that I am aware of. If you go to the Retrobat logo inside of the frontend. There are additional emulators there. But in terms of cores like you would get in Retroach. Retrobat can't do this. What you see is what you get.
@@JustJamie1983 yeah so you very much can add your own cores I did it and was able to have retrobat show my core yabasanshiro and it works so winwin not as restricted as batocera which is great.
Ah great. I haven't actually explored that area yet but I am guessing that you opened up Retroarch and used the online updater to download the additional cores?
@@JustJamie1983 that is part of it, once you see the core is in your cores folder, open batgui, system list, find your system for me Saturn and your see cores lib clicks plus then just type the name only of the core save and should appear as an option.

at the step of downloading the core, it just doesn't add to the list, i can only install ps1 and psp cores. what can i do?
Which platform are you running Retroarch on?

@prodtired likely that is why. All platforms will have different cores suitable for the power each possess.
Do you have a video of this for Chromecast (Android ver)? Does the Android version go up to PS2? I was not sure if I was loading the core correct or not but I did update to 1.15.0 for the android version but when I go to core downloader and sony PS2 is not showing on the list. Any clues or maybe it is not supported yet for android version.

I had to turn off widescreen hack it was causeing freezeing edit nvm it was fullscreen
Widescreen Hack isn't compatible with all games.
@@JustJamie1983 must be few games that work with it tried 4 diffrent games and they all had temporary freezing
@@JustJamie1983 comes out it was not wodescreen hack that was oing it it was being in fullscreen

Please help. I have done whatever you showed on video and is working great but i have a problem. On God Of War (PAL Version) the FMV videos have a strange black bar at the bottom of the screen. In the game everything is working great. Can you guide me what option to change so the FMV videos play well? Thanks in advance.
