    When you really think about it this series changed the NBA forever. They beat the best OKC team that was just about to lose one of their greatest pieces. Harden becomes a superstar with Houston, KD leaves for GS in a couple years. Derek Fisher becomes a coach and smashes Matt Barnes ex-wife and we get the famous “violence is never the answer, except when it is” quote. The geography of the NBA shifts dramatically, even this coming off-season Ray Allen leaves fr Miami and Boston is weakened heavily by his absence. This leads to the infamous Brooklyn trade which over the years brought the Celtics Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Kyrie Irving. Not to mention Boston also were able to sign big name free agents with all the money they have, such as Gordon Hayward, a superstar from the Utah Jazz. Meanwhile the Jazz draft a rookie by the name of Donovan Mitchell, who years earlier had seen his idol make his decision to go to South Beach at a YMCA. LeBron James. It all come full circle

Heat its first two years but especially in 2011 was only the big 3 and a bunch of guys about to retire but heat signed them to the minimum to fill out the roster. @mariahlin5556 Před 5 lety

    Where were the complaints of Miami Heat’s superteam destroying the league? I mean this OKC was so inexperienced and out of their depth. This series was pretty one sided once Miami got into a groove.
    Miami was stacked with 3 big dogs and an experienced bench.

    • @mariahlin5556
      @mariahlin5556 Před 5 lety

      jessica Guico The Mavericks win was a huge upset. No-one expected it. Miami lost because they lost composure. The year after that what happened? They cruised to the title because their talent level were heads above every other team. The young OKC were too mentally fragile to beat them.
      When the Heat combined Lebron/Wade/Bosh, everyone with a decent brain knew that they instantly became favourites for the NBA title. Isn't that considered taking an easy path? You got to stay consistent with your logic. You can't deviate and make excuses just to suit your preference. Because at the end of the day, Miami created a team that had more talent than anyone on paper. Similar to how the Warriors creating a team more talented than any other on paper.
      People are too distracted by the 73-9 record.

    • @mariahlin5556
      @mariahlin5556 Před 5 lety

      jessica guico I'm just being objective and not letting any bias or personal emotions sway the fact that super teams are simply super teams. Doesn't matter how it formed. Lebron joined the Miami Heat to create a Big 3, so the past year's team IS COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT. It doesn't matter if they had a poorer record.
      Who cares what Miami were before Lebron joined, the whole point was to create a new super team. KD joined the Warriors to create a super team, a different dynamic as well. Cavs lost 4-1, but it was actually a closer series especially in game 3 which caused the swing. Did you even watch? OKC were completely out classed, showing what a big disparity Miami had with everyone else, similar to the Warriors in 2017.
      OKC were bad as a team, especially Westbrook in the loss to the Miami Heat super team. I understand your point that against GSW there has to be "slim to non errors". But you can't fault KD for joining them, because every era is different. Super teams have existed since the Celtics and Lakers dominated the league to win more than 10+ titles each. Where were the cries of inbalances then?
      Anyway the real finals this year was the WCF, Rockets showed that the Warriors weren't invincible. So the league is actually pretty competitive.
      Same shit, different story.
      I have respect for Lebron, just stating facts that KD shouldn't be treated differently for his decision.
