    Theo this is the best lesson for me you have posted. Thank you. I've been trying to follow your lessons because I have started doing missionary in Nyamirambo and Gisenyi. Although I have an interpreter I still want to be able to speak Kinyarwanda . So thank you one again. Good bless you.

      AAh goodluck with the great work that you are doing. Keep practising and you will learn it eventually. Especially if you talk/listen to many local people over there.

      Are you with an organisation? I would love to volunteer or do missionary work in Rwanda in the future, but I haven't found many opportunities

    Kinyarwanda is quite similar to IsiZulu/ Nguni and Sotho languages that we speak in South Africa

    Hello theo, could You tell me if this phrase is correct? " nonese ni muzungu ariko nihinduka umwirabura na igihe" i'm replying to my step brother telling us mu muzungu about my metis son, his skin being very light as he is only one week old.
    Greetings from Belgium

    • @theoisback
      @theoisback  Před 4 lety

      not really. What you should say is:
      "Ubu asa ngumuzungu, ariko yuma azahinduka ase ngumwirabura."

    Why are there so much faults in the subtitles? I mean the words are not too badly pronounced, but the phrase « Mfite isoni » should be pronounced « Mfit’isoni ». No one actually says it like the former one...You would also need to explain that the intonation is very important in Kinyarwanda, but I’m conscious that it will harden ppl who want to learn the actual Kinyarwanda.

    • @theoisback
      @theoisback  Před 6 lety +1

      yes are right about mfit'isoni, but when you try to say it slowly, this is how I write it. Intonations are very important indeed and they deserve a separate video about them. Unfortunately, I can't teach everything in one video.
