Welcome to Trail Therapy! In this video we begin the overloading build on my 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 with wheels and tires. I went with the Method Race Wheels 703, featuring their bead grip technology, in a 17x9 -12. paired with Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 285/75/R17, or 34 inches. It definitely didn't go as planned and I had to do a lot of trimming. Next up, rock sliders / running boards, and a lift kit. Subscribe to follow along for the build!

Finally, someone building a canyon! I ordered a 24 at4 and have been looking for someone building theirs out

Picked up a 24 at4x. Truck has been awesome. So far have thrown on an RCI hd 12' bed rack and a thule roof top tent. Recommend that rack if you are looking for one to put on the at4. Went with the drill-less option and used RCI's clamps. Have to see if there is enough room behind the front bumper to fit a wrench or wait for someone to come out with a bumper. Worst part is with the new gen of canyons, very little aftermarket options and stuck fabbing things

I have a Colorado Trail Boss, now I want to do this after I get another 2 inch lift,,,but your truck is the best looking Canyon or Colorado I’ve seen yet on You Tube, blues my favorite color, but got mine that metallic gray to match my Bullet bass boat! I did Lyft with my Corolla to pay my truck off in 5 months, I’m now waiting for my title, only got 2k miles on it!

@@ltgutie11I know but I hate wasting the 310hp and I did get the 430# torque calibration so I kinda want both, GM suppose to have a cold air intake soon, I want that too!

I put 18x9 -12 offset as well vision korupt gloss black with machined face and wrapped some BFGoodrich Trail terrains 275/65 R18 on my fathers 23 GMC canyon elevation. Sticks out atleast 1.5 inches past fender wells. Looks AMAZING

Nice looking truck! Well done. Funny about the TPMS. I have a 2011 Ram and thye have always self-programmed. They do it twice a year when I swap my snows on and off. I was not aware there were any vehicles that did not self program anymore....lol Somebody told me it's the ones that use 433mhz sensors.

I came back to this video, do you think a 2 inch more lift,,,,these tires and wheels will fit on my Colorado TB? WITHOUT CUTTING? Man this truck looks nice! I did get the 430# torque calibration but did you lose the quickness of your truck putting these big tires on?

Looks great. I'm actually surprised you didn't have to add at least an inch to even get 34's on. Expected a lot more carving. I know they still rub but at least it drivable.

Super helpful info, and truck looks great! I have a 23 Trail Boss in Glacier Blue that I'm about ready ro start modding.
Regarding tire weight: When I put 35's on my lifted Wrangler, I also wanted to go light. The Nittos were all pretty heavy! Goodyear Duratrac were the lightest tires I could find, but that comes at the expense of a thinner sidewall.
Sub'd to follow along on your build 🍻

I have 275/55r20’s (31.9”/10.8”) on mine with a leveling kit and the stock 20” wheels for the Denali and they rub just a little onto the sway bar so you can’t really trim it to fit. Doesn’t really affect me at all except for super tight parking, I can still cram it in a compact spot with a 3 point turn if I’m careful

Looks great! I was going to say you need a leveling kit but it sounds like you have it covered. I have a 2023 trail boss that already had the factory lift. But I still wanted to do the leveling kit and take off the factory 20's and go with 18's and 285's. But....I just won an arbitration case against GM this week so now I am waiting for them to figure out what they will do next to replace it. It was a bad ECM by the way. Issues since day 1. But the other issue is you can't seem to find a colorado or canyon on the lots right now. Not sure what's going on. So I am looking to get a silverado RST and do some mods to that. Anyhow, can;t want to see yours with the lift.
