I quilt and heard from the Amish that only God does perfect. So a true Amish quilt will have a mistake somewhere. Love seeing others like me make flubs. Love your home. Lets
You have a beautiful home and your renovations are coming along nicely.🙂 I agree that it looks better to fold the last panel over to make a space for the kitties. Should keep Stacy's office free from the background noise. Hopefully.😊 You did a great job hanging the door. It probably wasn't easy being that they were heavy doors. Pretty tho! See you next time!🧰👷🏼🪛
Good job! It doesn't look bad at all. Serves the purpose anyway. Keep your eyes peeled, and maybe you'll run across some French doors that'll be a bargain. You never know. I sure like seeing the progress you and Stacey are making. 😊
You did ok, Brian. I have done the backwards hinge thing myself. After spending 15 minutes trying to decide if they would work that way, I changed them. I wonder if some small drawer pulls or something like that would work as a way to pull the doors into line more easily. Love your floors too.
Great to see you again Brian and also your brother Walter as well. Love seeing the progress that you and Stacy have been making on your new old home. The Doors are only a part time soulition that will work for now, til you can find ones that fit better. Wait a sec. I remember down by where the Old Byrd farm is, there is that one guy that has that BIG yearly " antique sale of stuff, and thinking he MIGHT have a set of old Doors that Might fit the width of that space, and might get a good but cheep price from him as well, talk to Robert??
Hi Brian, if you're ever in Macon on the weekend. Go to Smileys Flea Market . There is a guy who makes all kinds of household decor, furniture, and accessories.
I believe that if you were to turn the middle doors upside down, they would match the pattern of the outer doors. They are called 6 panel doors and you put those middle doors different from the others. Turn them around and they will match and then you will have some great looking doors. Holler at me if you need some help. Hey to Walter. Glad he helped you.
Hi Glen! Yeah I started to and the hinges were upside down and the pins fell out lol. I'll do a special project one day for that, the hinges aren't completely uniform so I'll have to change them around a bit
I love how you thought of your cats. But that OCD in me is wondering why the middle one is upside down. Yet, I know I couldn't have even done that myself so well done. Now you have a new thing you can film Down the Road looking for things for the house.
Thank you Sandy, yeah, if I put it right side up the hinge pins fell out lol, soon I plan to put it right but I'll have to reposition the hinges, which I plan to replace anyway
I did not lol, it was the way the hinges were arranged...or deranged, if i set it upright, the hinge pins fell out. Since the overall project is complete, I can come back some day in the (hopefully not too distant future) and flip it around
Though these doors are not even close to original to the house, I think they have the flavor

To hang doors you do the Hokey Pokey. You’re a natural on video because of all those years in front of Walter’s camera.
I bet there used to be a set of french doors in that space .
That's what I'm thinking, probably glass like on the opposite door. One day we might put some more in there...though I kinda like the way these look
Hey one makes do till we find something that does work...good job Brian!!!! Hi to Mr Walt!!
Love watching your house come together. It's going to be so pretty.
Great job, Brian! The Most Important Thing is That The Cats can Come and Go As They Please! 😂

I'm excited at the thrift store hunting!

Ooo thanks for the tip!
I love your ingenuity, you two are awesome! Hi Brian how is Uncle Ken?
Thank you! Uncle Ken is fine, just doing his thing over in Manchester

This is the kind of house or maybe I should say home that I grew up in there homie. They have all kinds of bookshelves and glass Cabinets

Not bad for $30 doors and some DIY.
Good job.
💞
Great job Brian. Your home is beautiful. Just wondering, are you and Robert related?
He's my nephew
Some of the doors are upside down. The small squares go on top.
And I am surprised Walter didn't catch it, or if he did, never commented on camera?
@@alanatolstad4824 That looks so weird. I would take the last panel off. You have to give him credit for trying.
@@karenstraw8689 You betcha!
I kept waiting for Brian to mention the design choice with the center section.😊
Good temporary solution 😊
We should have proper doors up in about...30 or 40 years lol
@@DTRBrianMallard set up a swear jar, contributing to the cause...you may get it sooner, lol.
Did you intentionally put the second door upside down? Just wondering. 😊

I noticed after hanging it and trued to correct it
I thought maybe you wanted a conversation piece. Lol!!😂
@@southernmess2019Lol, I tried to rationalize that it looked artsy
2nd set of doors are installed upside down.
Yes, right side up the hinge pins fell out lol, I'll be fixing that sometime soon
i hope you measured. It's always comical watching men work..lol
M...m..meeaasured? Lol
