Channels like this don't get it. Like sis they only agree when you're calling out black women, but not those they put on a pedestal. The mixed women get a pass even against you. Lol!

The argument is a bit reductionist. This isn’t about race. It’s about Black American culture.

Rick Ross called him white boy, not Kendrick. Kendrick is talking about how Drake plays into his black side when it’s beneficial to him, but not when it comes to activism. I will say, Pink Book makes a great point that many brown and dark skin black men criticize light skin men yet love them some light skin women at the same time. Two things can be true.

Usually I agree with you sis but you missed with this one. RickRoss called him white boy not kdot.Kdot is referring to how Drake is moving coming from a comfortable upbringing in Canada. from what I read Whitneys mother is mixed race & father is AA which makes Whitney 1/4 white. She is more black than Drake if u want to be technical. She may be kdot's babymomma but they have been together forever just like my parents (for over 40 years with no marriage certificate) Don't make everything about colorism girl, it's giving PICK ME bitter vibes. Coming from a dark skinned sister, respectfully

You missed the mark with this one PBL. Still a fan, gonna watch your other videos, etc etc. But you definitely missed the point of this particular song/beef.

I don’t think it was about the race but drake only being apart of the hip hop/black American culture when it benefits him.

I don’t think that’s what Kendrick meant. It’s a cultural thing not a race thing. The problem is not that Drake is mix race. The problem is his character.

It's Drake's actions that Kendrick came for.

That white boi talk wouldn't work on Cole, cause Cole has actually spoke on and talk about on black issues. Drake and Cole are different when it comes to black issues.

I normally rock with u heavy but you over thought this he was talking about ppl coming over here cos playing in the blk American culture when it's convenient for them it had nothing to do with being Bi🤦🏿‍♂️ it's all about being Ados/FBA nothing more

No girl, you’re wrong. It’s about Drake being a culture vulture and appropriating a culture “Black American” culture that is not who he is. Whitney is mixed but she’s from LA and was raised as Black American

Kendrick Lamar's trying to straddle both sides of the fence. He wants to still appear as 'down for the cause ✊🏿' but also ensure his children came out with light skin and straight or straight-ish hair. Calm down sir.

And not to mention Drake has never publicly stood up for 1 black issue but always ready to say the N word not like us means Drake is picking and choosing when he wants to be black n u can't deny that from the footage we've seen

Why are we acting like there aren't different versions of mixed people? You tellin me a Canadian thats mixed who grew up in a Jewish neighborhood in Toronto. Is the same as being mixed and growing up in Compton? 😂😂

That's what ninjas do: they bark Black this, & Black that. Meanwhile, the female they lay next to is "nOt LiKe uS." It's one of many reasons I don't buy into the Black pride talk. It's just that. Talk. It's optics. It's always been that way, & I don't see that ever changing.

The real problem is that a lot of Black people from the diaspora. Come to America, copy our culture, and then turn around and say we don't have one. All the while cos playing as us! Busta Rhymes did that, and so did Canadian rapper Pressa! Or like how H.E.R. won a Grammy and gave thanks to the Philippines! In Black American culture, bi-racial people have always been Black! We don't have a cast system here, like foreigners from other countries in Africa and the Caribbean! This is about culture and lineage, and checking foreigners who participate in the culture, but disrespects the people of the culture! We are the only people who have been pushing Pan-Africanism! And it doesn't work because other groups are to tribal or doesn't see themselves as Black at all!

So we don't forget about the fact that this boy has been accused allegedly of messing around with underage girls. If you going to analyze something then analyze the entire song Don't talk about just one aspect of the song because he talked about a lot of things in that song. Going to be clear it wasn't just black people that have something to say about this damn near the whole world has something to say about this.

I agree with some points you made but I disagree with your point about Not Like US being about mixed race people . Kendrick called Drake a colonizer because many of Drake’s hits come from him imitating the flows, sounds, and even flat out copying the songs of artists that are emerging at any given time from a
