- Athanassios Christos Macias, Ata for short, is a genuine Frankfurter institution. Whether as a DJ, through the Delirium Record Store or the labels Ongaku, Playhouse or Live at Robert Johnson: since the beginning of the 1990ies it is hard to imagine what the Frankfurt scene would be without Ata.
In addition to the internationally renowned Techno/House club Robert Johnson in Offenbach, the driven entrepreneur is also involved in the restaurant Club Michel and the Cafe Plank. Finally, Ata is also very passionate about cooking and food and nutrition in general. For this edition of Slices on Electronic Beats TV, we headed to the Bahnhofsviertel quarter in Frankfurt in order to pay him a visit.

Great video, guys. Found it after I came across your feature of how Robert Johnson became one of the best clubs in the world - really enjoyed reading that too.
That corridor of excellence that Ata mentions towards the end is true; I've found that to be the case with me. I also agree with his points on new media.

This bearded fellow was DJing in a smaller room at Tokyo's Womb club and I had no idea who he was. All I knew was the music coming out of the speakers had a groove that I hadn't felt for a LONG time. Turns out, it was ATA. This guy is a dope DJ.
