I think this vlog is great, you don't sugar coat it about how the aspects of a "you tube" job can bring you down creatively and take its toll emotionally and physically. The best way I know how to enrich friends' birthdays (among other notable occasions) is through pic compilations and like you, I go through phases where I don't have the mood to do it but once I do, I can run episodes of Sale of the Century (a classic game show from the 80s) and be through an episode before I realize it so I understand the cyclical feelings you spoke to on editing...

It's a lot to do with perspective too. Money lets me do more cool creative things, but I also work much better under pressure. At the same time, I don't make a living from my creative stuff at the moment, so my perspective is different.

Monica what you're talking about is totally a real thing! I'm a psychology major and studies have been done that when you're paid to do something you feel more negative about it as apposed to when you're not getting paid... because when you are NOT paid or NOT getting some kind of reward for something your brain adjusts and looks at all the positives as a defence mechanism for lost time/resources/whatever it is! When you have a reason to do something (like getting paid) you start to stop looking at all the positives of the situation because your brain already has justification of the act. So just keep fighting to be positive girl! Love all your content!

Monica tell your dad, on most automobiles, a triangle-shaped arrow indicator adjacent to a dashboard gas pump icon (in your instrument panel) indicates which side a vehicle’s fuel door is on :) You can do a Google Images search for "automotive gas gauge arrow to tank" and see what I mean.

Hey Monica! Next time, try keeping the Auto-Off Function on in your car, once you get used to it it won't bug you anymore! That way, your car will save loads of gas, and it's great for the environment too! Especially in cities, where there's a lot of traffic lights, it really helps the air quality there (imagine how low the pollution would be in cities where every car had that feature!).
