Flight attendants / cabin crew is there to protect and help passengers in case of emergency! What has a scar to do with my ability to safe peoples life? I find it crazy that this is even allowed to reject people based on that. Because it has NOTHING to do with the quality of work they do. I can understand that a certain uniform has to be worn or a certain style has to be followed. But honestly these middle east airlines have flight attendants that might smile friendly but there is no personality cabin crew can show. You know how one looks you know how all look. Why do you people accept such rules and dont question that at all? People who are in the inside can try to change these horrible rules! I prefer a flight attendant who can safe my life! I dont care for any scars, overweight (as long as fit and healthy), age or anything. I prefer flight attendants getting more safety training in a month than getting rules about how they have to look like...
Apart from safety, they are the people who serve the people those who are paying for high quality service, that's why there is more emphasis on grooming standards too. The cabin crew comes with direct contact with the customers and needs to look very presentable, smart and beautiful, some scars are not quite appealing to eyes and are clearly visible, so there might be some guests from all around the world who might have some issue if a crew have some distinguish scar, and they are serving them. But the scar policy is different in each airlines, Qatar Airways to be specific is very strict regarding scar and tattoo policy.

for surgery, do you need to tell them u have plastic surgery if there's no scars or do they need to know too? also, do they check your medical history?
I had small cyst surgery in near my elbow. Its abot 1.5 cm , i have all the documrnts and it is translated to english. The doctor is dead now because it was 5years ago 😭. What would i do

Hi hadjer so i used to have psoriasis (الصدفية) but now it is gone however i have some scars we can’t really call them scares because they are just a brown color that was left by the psoriasis and it’s not really obvious so what do you think ?

Actually, male crew are permitted to use concealer so long as it's well matched and blended to not be obvious. Did you even read the I&U book?
