- One interesting addition to the AoE1 Return of Rome scenario editor is that you can use the cheat code units from both AoE1 and AoE2 at the same time, which had previously never been possible for any two Age games. Naturally, that means we have to find out how they do against each other!

Thanks for validating my "these cars aren't nearly as good" feeling I had as a kid going from cheating in AoE1 to cheating in AoE2.

I've always known I couldn't be the only one 😄😄 lLuckily I no longer use cheats. In a way, aoe2's bad cheat units made me learn how to play both games

@@tuuZhao it's not that it necessarily sucks, but it's fairly situational, given that it has terrible aim (a sufficiently randomly moving scout can keep one tied up for a surprisingly large amount of time), and it's worse against most buildings than Alfred the Alpaca.
Yeah, big daddy could take out a 3x3 square of 9 houses in a single shot. That same feat took cobra quite a while

there was no feeling more terrifying in aoe1 than playing against the ai, creating a Winsett's Z and then somehow managing to lose it to a conversion
it was insane how good the priest was in AOE1 .. specially if the superpriest cheat was used with gave all priests 600hp!!

The trick was to do the cheat and then research the tech that doubles priests' health, because it would double the already boosted stat to skyrocket you to 1200.
Because you know, it really mattered that much

Bigdaddy was my childhood. That cheat code is burned so deep into my mind.
Creating like 100 of them and sending them to wipe out 7 AIs. And then the fear in my 8 year old heart when one got converted and was just out there hiding in the darkness

Yes! So glad i found this comment because i had the same idea! There is so much potential in the Olympics of AoE!
It also reminded me of a channel of AoE 2 called “Among the Sheep” or something like that, with similar videos (and a monkey as a profile). Like vs, animations, all of them made in AoE II HD and last ones DE
A couple of examples: a Vs of Shotelai against Karambits, and a “Monk cover” (when they are starting to convert units) of The Imperial March, from Star Wars.
We need more cheat code content. Also, I'm proud of Cobra Car's performance.
i expected a real tourny with real players using cheat codes, only "i r winner" and the other one being banned

Curiously missing is the tricycle baby from the "pow" cheat code. Unless that was replaced by another similar unit.
It's not an editor unit, the rest are.

While i dont know if it was the first cheat code i ever used, i know that bigdaddy was the first age of enpires cheat code i ever used. Glad to see its still the daddy.
That was creative and I liked the addition of the noot noot for the Penguin. Now I want to see heros from AOE 1 and 2 battling it out in the same way.
I'm glad that the OG big daddy won. When I played this as a kid, it was the only cheat that me and my brothers knew at first, so all the cheats in AoE 1 and AoE 2 somehow were all just called "big daddies"
The only problem is that sometimes daddy accidentally wipe out half of your armies with his splash damages.

I really think that the "Truck Truck Truck" monster truck from AOE3 could easily beat any unit in all AOE.
Also, the canada bear could be a tough fight for the alpaca king.

Honestly, it would kick ass if there was another tournament that included aoe 3 and aom cheat units.
60,000 HP, 1,200 damage as an aura, and 90% damage reduction to melee.
I absolutely LOVE that the countdown timer sound effect was the healing Droid effect from Battlefront 2 (2005)
I think he chose it because it was actually the countdown from Star Wars Racer. Kinda crazy that they used the same sound effect for two totally different purposes
I thought it was the Damage Resistance sound from that game. Still love the reference.

In the battle of the ghost ship and the penguin, the countdown sounded like the countdown from Wave Race from the N64
And the spacemen countdown was from Episode 1 Podracer

The stealth archer rounds were the funniest. First we're surprised by looking at the wrong tree, an impressive display of the stealth archer's, well, stealth. And then we're blown away (literally) by the immensive display of force as every single tree in the arena is obliterated. This is quality content right here.

I absolutely loved this episode. I can tell you had fun making it.
I mean, the conclusion was not surprising to say the least. Nothing stood a chance in a 1v1 against either Z besides the other, and higher damage per shot will dominate when attack speed isn't a factor due to the short duration of combat

Some of them have an incredibly long range, which was completely negated by having them duel in close quarters.

I always enjoyed Lazer bear in age of mythology the best. Could be used as fast ground based scouts, could hold the line against enemy troops and titans. Not sure I ever saw one die.
