They are called terraces which keeps the water from washing out the fields. Don’t remove the terraces which helps keep what top soil you have and the government helped build them. Go to your local courthouse and they can guide you to the proper government offices to help you manage your property. You pay taxes, use them.
Big thing to remember. Find out exactly who's on your property line. And see who it is. To see if your ever going to have problems later. Be cautious my brother.
My mom and dad are dealing with this right now. They have lived there 30 years and someone just purchased some land next to them. the buyer sent a letter in mail saying mom n dads driveway is on his property. So yea be careful
In this part where everything is flat, you can make a good track to test the builds. When building, build a garage just to store the cars, preferably a large one. and the workshop.

Put in a few race tracks and call it the "Goonzquad Power Plex." Dirtbike tracks, 4X4 courses, and a paved raceway with a good straightaway for top speed and drag racing. Merch shop and short order food .... so many possibilities.

Buy your Dad a tractor and Batwing mower. The barrels were for mineral and salt block for the cattle. Build your lake and the conservation commission will stock it. Let them do it because there are so many idiots stocked their own pond, lake or tank is what they call them in Texas. With a ten acre lake and let a local farmer mow and bail the hay two times a year. Remember good fences make good neighbors.
Only problem with letting the DNR get involved with a pond build/stocking is (at least in my state) if they stock it, it's considered a public resource and you must allow public access to fishing. For these guys, I believe privacy is their end game and allowing public access to their property would be a huge *HAYELL NO!*
Why buy a tractor and mower when a local farmer will mow it 3 or 4 times a year for free just for the feed. In some cases they will pay the land owner to help them with feed.

Growing up on a farm. Usually when a big animal dies like a horse or cow. We had a spot on the property way in the back. That we would put the animal out to so nature could take over. We called it the bone yard. It was easier to do that than burying. My family were firm believers everything goes back to nature and everything had a food chain. Beautiful property congratulations.
That's what I was thinking. I worked on a farm and I had to take dead animals to the back with a big tractor and bucket loader. It was brutal. Eventually I left that job.

A lot of people don't realize if you live in a more urban/rural area and say you have a horse. Well if that horse dies and you call a removal company 9 times out of 10. They take it to the local dump and it's mixed up in all the trash. Very few have access to large property to bury it.
I suggest you look into Bama Bass CZcams Channel. He built a nice 5 acre pond on his property and he goes thru the process of building a pond and stocking it with game fish...mainly Bass and feeder fish. He's based in Alabama so it's similar climate to Tennessee. It's an amazing channel and I'm sure you'll learn a lot about the process of building a large pond on your property. Congratulations guys. Possibly do a drone survey of the entire place and get to know where the obstacles and dangerous areas are. Also put a trail cam down by the watering hole to see what is on the land at night.

On the ranch I used to work on, we dug a hole in the ground where the corpses could decompose and become compost. We called it the dead pit.

Also, that realtor didn’t tell you the truth, if they said ten years. That guy had cows last year. His trailer burned down across the street last year, but he had cows just a couple of months before the trailer incident happened.

When the Ranch is 💯 percent done and it's time to move your inventory from the shop to the Ranch it would be cool to have a viewer per car, drive in a convoy from the shop to the Ranch and then have a dinner or meal and hang out. Great drone footage!
