  • This video tells the tale of a spring trip to Chesil Beach to target the resident plaice population. As you will see, the weather was very British to say the least! Thankfully the plaice were keen to feed and for the majority of the session, the sun shone.

    Superb video again mate. The weather may have been problematic, but it looked epic, even on this tiny phone screen. For me, best Chesil video on CZcams this season mate, that’s not to say there hasn’t been other good ones, Christchurch Angling Centre, The Shore Hunter to name a few others. Very informative as always and some lovely looking Plaice. Keep up the great work 👍🏻

    From all the trips I've had to Chesil, I've never fished that end and great to get the shelter out too. Interesting how you fished the single rod. I've just started using my watch to time baits which worked well on my last trip. Liking the music too. Thanks for posting 👍

    Thanks for the video Janson. Great as always. I contacted you with regards to a bit of guided fishing & what I would like to catch is any Ray other than a Thornback as I catch them all the time where I live. I would especially like to catch either a Blonde, Small Eye or Spotted Ray as these are rare to non-existent where I live. I’m flexible with dates as I can do a mid-week or weekend trip.

      This is what you need Chris, with a little practice it’s easy enough to remove a deeper hooked fish-

    How do you find the casting specials compare to Daiwa 7HT's and Abu 6500's distance wise ?, The higher line capacity always made me think despite their name the Casting specials weren't really distance reels.

    • @thegamblingangler
      @thegamblingangler  Před 2 lety +1

      I personally feel that the 7HT Magnofuge has the advantage in terms of distance, but the gearing on the CS is possibly superior.

      @@thegamblingangler Thanks, The large line capacity has always made me think of the CS as a rock reel, I use Abu 6500's for all my fishing on Chesil
