You should be able to notice that he had excessive critique for the boom and very little for the juke. He was so busy complaining about Slow Down he missed the trombones really jazzing out. Also he did not stop and replay SU that much or make up "wrong notes" about SU. I believe he probably does follow these 2 bands but he is far from objective about SU. I'm old head boom and crabbed before you. I enjoy listening to reviews and have no particular beef with this guy but it's disappointing for him to come along 8 months later and say something totally different than multiple other reviewers have said. Including people who have marched and played at HBCU bands including these 2.

My first time really hearing either of these bands. First impression, JSU has that old school LOUD but dirty brass sound, SU - not quite as loud but man they sound good... The tone quality really isn't close IMO.
