Just put the deposit down on my first AMG. It's not a true one as it's only a A Class A35 but has most of the same features as your 45s and even a couple of extras your doesn't, like a HUD and 360 camera system. Overall I am so excited to get it and drive it. My first new car in my life that's mine. I realized when I was shopping that I have bought everyone else a new car but never me. So I decided Dad is finally getting a new car.

thanks to Mercedes dropping the inline 6 and the chip[ shortage my 2020 C 43 is now worth 20k more than I bought it for in my area. But I can't give her up.
It’s due to the current used market increase why your car is worth more (all used cars went up by over 50% due to the production delays in new cars. It’s too early to know what will happen when the new ones go into production. Even though the V6 is amazing and I much prefer it I suspect your car will drop in value when the new one arrives purely based on how other cars have but still should be worth a decent amount.
I really appreciate your videos, lots of info you don't usually get from the basic youtube reviews. I would have one question: how would you rate the ride of the CLA 45 in comfort mode on poor B roads as well as on the motorway? I'm currently owning a hot hatch and despite the suspension not being extremely stiff, I find the busy ride kind of annoying for everyday driving, especially on roads with small potholes and bumps. I'm curious if the adaptive suspension in the CLA 45 makes up for this, the way the Civic Type R does, for example.
Ah sorry I must of missed this comment! To be honest I find the car overall very comfortable even with the performance seats but I have always driven stuff suspension cars. I’d say it’s nowhere near as comfortable as say a SUV or eclass on small wheels but I find it great comfort for long journeys and the dampers do a pretty good job over bumps.
No problem, I do plan on doing some more in-depth videos on comfort. I’m working on a full review of the AMG performance seats and we’re also having a little family road trip with my wife and daughter to legoland next week so I may film the ride and put something together from it :)
@@ABAUTOAMG I have an RS4 on order. The wife and I love CLA 45s. The car is stunning and the interior is something else. My wife test drove the A45s but said it was a bit harsh on normal roads. I can’t find one of these to test, but I doubt there would be much, if any difference. Even it not having the auto boot isn’t putting me off 😂. That paint is stunning also.
So, I'm confused about your claimed horse power. The official (US) Mercedes hp figure is 382. That's quite a difference. Can you help me understand where the difference is coming from?
No problem, In the Uk and Germany we have a model called the CLA45”s” the s is the faster version with 421 hp. You can also buy the non ‘s’ version which has 382 hp. For some reason Mercedes decided to not sell the S model in America and you can only buy the standard 45. Now you are driving a proper AMG and not an AMG badging Mercedes like the c43 you had. I recall stumbling on one of those videos and made a comment about it. Welcome to the family!! If your engine doesn’t have a signed signature then it’s not built by AMG. This car is build from the ground up by AMG. The c43 or anything 43 is just a marketing plow by benz to upsell the car by adding AMG body styling.
For an elitist, you are very wrong about this lol This car isnt build up from the ground by AMG, its just the engine + a bodykit. A true "from the ground up" AMG would be a AMG GTS or GT63. Those cars are only build by AMG and there isnt a "not AMG" model, unlike the A, CLA, C, E and so on.

In these conditions Yep. It was cold winter time. You can see condensation on the exterior paintwork, that’s not rain. Haven’t had any issues with the lights all year round since but always worth looking out for.
Hmmm that does not sound right. I often will hear some light clicking from the back at the exhausts after a sport+ drive but never from the front by the coolant etc. I’d get it looked at just to be safe.

Huh? The car was very dirty here over the winter so perhaps that’s what you are seeing from cameras eye? Just to confirm though there’s nothing broken here otherwise the car would be straight in under warranty. I think it may just be a trick of the eye :)

@@MJT-DA ah you mean the water on the light? It’s hard to see in the camera but that’s just water on the outside and some condensation. Haven’t had any problem with these and filmed this back in winter :)
@@ABAUTOAMG I still have my A200 sedan Edition 1 fully loaded. I absolutely love the HUD to help concentrate on the road and speed. It’s so easy to be over the speed limit on freeways without noticing because the Mercedes-Benz does it so effortlessly.
😭😭 It would take me about 10 months to run the sodding engine in as I'm forever in work vehicle, 10 months! 10 months! Torture worse than waterboarding.

Hey RJAVD, I would still recommend breaking in the a35 for the first 1000 miles if you are able to. It's good for any engine to be gently broken in :)

Sadly in the UK spec for this year HUD was not a available option. It would of been nice to have!
