    Just found a coleman 640 table and chairs in the box today. I have a bunch of coleman lanterns and stoves too. Thank you for sharing. I would love to see more about the covers for the tables .

    Just ran across this video and love this old gear. I still like to use my Colman Lantern and two burner Stove along with by trusty old Buck 110. It reminds me of my teenage years. Great finds you were lucky to get those old jewels.

    While watching this, I looked in eBay for that table, only one and its going for $149.00 with only two stools, you got yours for a great deal👍🏻

    • @SWPhotography
      @SWPhotography  Před 5 lety +2

      That's not a bad price, I have seen them go for much more. It's usually the shipping that will kill the deal too.

    Cool stuff you have there. I have a sizeable collection of old Coleman products like we used when I was a kid in the 60's and 70's. People think I'm crazy. I have no interest in the new stuff made today. Great video.

    Very cool. Think we have one of the stoves in dads garage someplace. I think he adapted for propane.

    • @SWPhotography
      @SWPhotography  Před 6 lety +1

      Cool! I have a couple that have been converted to run off propane as well. They work great for summer camping, but I do a lot of winter camping, sometimes with the temps below zero, and the stove has a hard time burning the propane gas but the white gas stove will fire up every time.

  • @bipedalbob

    Finally, it's a model 500, 1940's are, had this stove for years, I think I rescued it from a land fill site, been looking for info on it, it's in pretty good shape but I would like to get over it before trying to light it up. The Coleman name is stamped into the tank but not the model. Yours is the first site I have found to show it, you refer to it as common, I have never seen one before or since, if it is common that's good if I need parts, I would like to use it just because it's a cool old stove that was made before me, and it's built like a work horse, built before plastics and cheap crap that is so common today.

    I found an original rare Goldbond Coleman lantern never burned in it's original box with papers at a Barn sale. The lady wanted only $20 for it. I bought it & put it on Ebay because I knew what it was, and it sold to a California Collector for $711.00

    Shane, my apologies if you have addressed this already, I did look on your video library to check before asking but. . . Do you know what the color code is for that Coleman green on the picnic table model # 640. I bought one and only afterward found out it comes with stools, I'll have to find them at some point. In the meanwhile I'd like to fix where the paint had worn off on it. Thank you in advance,

    • @SWPhotography
      @SWPhotography  Před 3 lety

      Sorry Ross I don’t know what the color code is. I would suggest checking on the Coleman Collectors Forum, someone there will probably know.

      Gloves or globes? If ya meant globes, I have had good luck finding them on Ebay.
      Also Oldcolemanparts.com has a few right now. Keep an eye on his site, he rotates stock pretty regularly.
