You can tell they respect each other, they always gave each other very warm and respectful handshakes. I wish more girls were like that in tennis these days.
Maria won her first grand slam at 17 years old. Jelena Ostapenko won grand slam at 20 years old. Both won their first grand slam at a very young age, they must respect with each other a lot.
Jelena Ostapenko à toujours adoré et apprécier Maria Sharapova, et maria le savais très bien, et maria l'appréciais beaucoup aussi, mais sur le terrain c'était une adversaire coriace et maria n'avais qu'une envie, gagné.
@@ricclee8559 Yes I know but you can't put her on equal footing with Maria or the Williamses. Clijsters may be a tennis star but you can't compare her to the SUPERSTARS Maria,Serena,Venus are .
What's so special about her being called as potentially the one of the best actress in history? Is it because that could be you? Trying to tell the world that you used to be a line judge for the US open before you miraculously won an Oscar one day? Because if you dont win at least for an Oscar,GG, Bafta, Sag, EMMY, or a Tony for Best Actress, then that will not count your resume as one of the best in history one day. 😂😂 Other than that, i have no idea what is so special about 4:33 other than perhaps trying to catch some attention for yourself in the long run? If my fans go to their youtube account, and finding the link of the Sharapova vs Ostapenko video, in particular this specific one, they would be able to watch me as one of the female line judge, short haired and much younger before I am an actress! And here i am today, one of the best actress in history! A claim to be so well predicted by myself as i wrote this comment under anonymous CZcams account. Agree. If you notice, once she retired, Serena and Halep just kind of stopped trying and without Serena motivated, she just isn't Serena and that has a huge residual effect on the tour.
I really miss to see Sharapova play on court. Her delivery was always so powerful and on point. So accurate. Her style was elegant. Her drive was tenacious. Her returns were crafty. Her forehand ferocious. Her double-backhand feared. Her leftys surprising. I was always sure she had 1-2 more slams in her, if they hadn't cut her run short through the dubious "doping"-ban. But then her injuries got in the way, at one point. Maria for sure is one of the greatest greats and wonderful to watch - ever since she had introduced herself winning Wimbledon at 17.
sharapova-ostapenko.. always classy at handshake on all their matches. you can see how ostapenko respects maria.
that was adorable, Jelena has probably grown up a Sharapova fan
"She's always been prime time, Sharapova. She always will be."
Watched this for the handshake haha

Yeh its a shame Ostapenko didnt continue on that respect path., she has turned into a horrid foul mouthed little Bi*** in the present day.
Ostapenko mentality with this kind of gesture has lost.
Once a princess and the always. Maria

Beside Serena Williams, Venus Williams, and Kim Clijsters, Nobody's on WTA tour has this huge megastar quality as big as Maria has.
Kim Clijsters ? Excuse me ?

What a lovely queen Pova 😭👑
did not expect that warm handshake at the net...

I think the woman in 4:33 is going to be one of best actress in history. I can see her shining future about 1 or 2 years later.
NOOOOO 😭😭

Sharapova always will be remembered by beautiful throwing kiss around as celebration.
On my opinion the women tennis without Maria is unintresting.

4:32 a whole different recognition after 2020 (Djokovic)
Haha I saw her too
How Maria Sharapova kissed Ostapenko it's usual for her with others
Can’t believe they kissed. Sharapova hardly kissed anyone..
Who felicidades maria hermosa💜bendiciones😘😘😘🇩🇴
Maria, love her
Que lindo juego bendiciones para las dos😘❤❤🇩🇴
María... María... María... la mujer más bella y espectacular que hizo Dios.
Usually rank #10 acts like they are freaking #1 or something while #1 always is humble and respectful. That’s why they are where they are.
I wonder what maria says to the Chair umpire at the handshake 🤔
I know, something like "that was not a good... forehand"?
Good girl always... preserve this world better again, female is monogamist then be wise about your chosen 🌐❤️
Wow how many girls did Maria kiss at the net in her 17 year career? One? ;)
Maria felicidades❤❤❤❤💋🇩🇴
Машка💗💗💗
I forgot how much risk she use to take. Just unrelenting aggression
Is it me or does Ostapenko not look 5’10” (1.77m)
Мария, хороша! ❤🥰🎾
Ostapenko is at least 10kg more now than back then
❤❤❤

Интересно что ей сказала Алёна?
Sharapova use make up? Hahaha i know because he meet beautiful ostapenko.. hahaha i like it
I have never seen anyone who is so unprofessional on challenging
Here you can clearly see Ostapenko devolution. She was thinner, fitter and hit harder. Now she's fatter, slower and hits weaker.
@@pnmetronariston4112 I was VERY surprised with that win!
Anyone catch what she said to umpire after that handshake?

Ostapenko really doesn't know how to do anything except hit the ball hard.
Just like Sharapova
