  • Dave O'Neal repowered a pre-owned stock boat (Cruise Craft 685 Outsider) with a new, drive-by-wire, Honda 250HP outboard. It now gets 50% further from the same tank of fuel as it did with its old EFI 2-stroke, 225HP power plant.

    I was just thinking I wonder why Steve never does a boat review with a Honda on the back then this pops up. Seajay with a Honda on the back would be a dream combo.

    The oem brands need to start rebuilding there old 4 stroke products from the guys that got them in the early 00's

    You could never own the motor long enough to recoup in fuel what the motor costs. Unnecessary replacement just exerts industrial pollution on the planet for no good reason.
