  • If you've ever thought about picking up one of the GRS Riflestocks for your FX airgun but didn't because you were worried that the process would be complicated, never fear, we have a video that I hope will melt away any apprehension!
    Seriously, it takes only a couple minutes. You'll need a 3mm hex wrench, ideally one with a torque driver that can give you a reliable 30 inch-lbs, and a Phillips-head screwdriver. That's it. You'll spend more time clearing off your workbench than you will actually wrenching on this project.
    Thanks to GRS for trusting me with the opportunity to film an installation video, and I hope you find it useful!

    A little detail - if You have FX Dreamline Tactical or Lite, then You also need Classic safety assembly! Classic safety assembly comes with Dreamline Classic (obviously) and DreamPup (bullpup). Or You have to order/buy FX parts no.: 1. Safety pivot Bullpup/Classic - 20056 - 1pc; 2. Safety lever 32.5mm - 19860 - 1pc; 3. Safety knob - 11200 - 1pc.

      Great point. Mine came out of the Saber Tactical Chassis, which uses the Classic Safety.

      If Dreamline with external hammer spring adjustment (which as mentioned needs removing) you need to buy hammer spring nut. Same one as classic.
      Beware there's a "low power" brass one ie German power. It will not work in UK, US, etc guns. Of course I read low power as in UK 12flbs.....
      But I cut the guide off and made a handy locking nut for correct high power nut.

    I'd love a tuning video for the dreamline tube version with the power plenum.
    I just picked up a used 25cal dreamline lite with the power plenum installed. Standard liner to shoot pellets.
    I've never owned a FX before and don't want to mess things up adjusting anything.
    I also live in WI, so do you have any suggestions for reg setting or hammer spring dial?
    I appreciate any help.

    • @WiscAirGunners
      @WiscAirGunners  Před rokem +1

      I don’t have .25 cal numbers, because I don’t have a gun set up in the caliber, but I doubt you’ll be above 120 bar on the reg.
      I would dial your power wheel all the way down, and then shoot over a chronograph and watch your FPS as you move from minimum to maximum.
      if you get a velocity that you like, and it’s accurate, I wouldn’t mess with it. If you get to a point where turning up the hammer spring doesn’t yield more velocity, you could increase regulator pressure to get more speed.
      That should get you started.

      @@WiscAirGunners thank you!
      Am I correct to say I need to degas the gun to move adj the reg up? It's currently at 90bar.

      I would suggest joining a FX group and see what other are shooting with the same FPS and FPE and grain pellet or slug you are looking to shòot , in the end you need a chrony for test & tune !!! No magic nob turning will give you the best accuracy nor shot count....

    Dazzling aesthetic enhancement. Do you also use the torque screwdriver when mounting your scopes and what is the inch pound specification then?

    • @WiscAirGunners
      @WiscAirGunners  Před rokem +1

      I do use a torque driver to mount scopes. For airguns I usually do 12 inch pounds.

      I reached out to FX Outdoors/FX USA today, and they said to ask your favorite FX Dealer, and if that doesn't you can call them directly. I was also told that Triple T Guns in Wilmington NC is stocking GRS stocks and should be able to help.
