Me and the guys have been working on this one for a month now, stoked to share it... HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIMEBAG!
Sounds pitch perfect my dude 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Getcha pull! Awesome cover man!
Ola that was awesome.
That was tight AF. Great job buddy, RIP dime 👍
Ola thoughts on Dime estate leaving Dean??
Thanks for asking me to be a part of this. Down to play Pantera anytime. Awesome drumming too 🤘
You killed it as always. Best cover yet.
I used to play with you guys at the chance often back in your Rot In Pain days bro!(reunion show w/frank n tim n other dude please?). And Goddamn you killed it on bass then and just recently got turned on to your YT and your with Ola whom i follow religiously. Too FN Cool and congrats on your accomplishments.
I'm gonna give this video a like, not because of you though.
Wow man you killed it
You're killer dude! 😎🤘🏻
Fantastic cover, especially impressed with Kylo Ren's drumming
Ya had to bring up that sorry excuse of a villain...
and jon snow as the singer
@@Defsolid bruh kylo ren was the only good thing about the sequel trilogy
@@Drewitall54 Nah, ain't noting good about Disney SW nonelogy, the throwing tantrum Vader wannabe included.
The drummer is the Front Man from Squid Game.
I feel like Dime would have loved seeing people cover his stuff. I can just hear his southern drawl saying "Hell yeah man. This rips!" I bet he would have an awesome CZcams channel as well.
👆totally agree. Dime had a love for music and would support people jammin together any way possible 🤘
I have a feeling his channel would be called "TBAG Darrell"
Was just watching this thinking of what a 2022 Dime would be.
5 or 6 more pantera albums, CZcams channels etc.
What a loss 😭
Vinnie & Dime would've killed it together on CZcams. Man...
Indeed. I was just now watching this, pondering that Dime never made it to see this version of the internet (among so much else), or rather, we didn't get to see what Dime would make of this version of the internet.
Ola: I'm not considered as a lead player.
also Ola:
Haha, I know... his lead playing is amazing! He's Scandinavian though, they tend to be humble and modest people.
The solo really isn't all that hard but the way Ola plays it is just perfect. He really is an underrated lead player
@@eliasaltman4439 Exactly. It’s one thing to hit the notes, but quite another to give it that soul and power.
@@eliasaltman4439 because ola has a connection to dime, he feels it when he plays it. I personally start to tear up after playing this one, and primal concrete sledge… idk why the later, probably because it’s my favorite pantera song.
My man only play leads on pantera lmao
🔥This makes me wanna chug muhaha....RIP Dime
Also, that outro was so lit 🔥
Do cowboys from heaven
Also Hospital gates
muhaha. hi shred.
That drum mix is glorious theyre like artillery shells off
To each their own. I actually hate big, boomy drums like this.
@@timg2727 yea, abusing that ugly snare verb like anselmo abused heroin; not a very good mix drum wise
@Soap Just ignore these wussies
Have y'all seen Vinnie live ? He sounded like he was driving his sticks through the snare or what ever he was hitting.
@@escalator9734 you're so funny bro I like that about you
Sick cover 🔥🔥🔥
This again proves that the early Anselmo was an absolute vocal beast
Still is
Yeah! Definitely part of the top 3 vocalists ever!
Amazing that he could hit those super high Gillette style scream and could do the harsh/screaming stuff
Damn that solo was crisp. Dime would proud.
Dime would be disappointed in your composition of words.
Legendary mechanical playing
@@darkmotherboard272 the dude who drank liters of whiskey a day is gonna care about his composition of words. On the contrary, I think dime would understand him better this way haha
@@adamzeller7979 take a joke
"Crisp" is most definitely the word I would have used. 💯💯💯
When the drums came SMASHING IN I got a huge smile and just started laughing. That kit sounds HUGE
Ya know, so many people out there rip peoples' covers for not having enough originality or individual expression...yet overlook the raw talent it takes to reproduce the masterful expression of the original artists...and this song and this cover is a perfect example of what it takes to truly pull it off. Fucking fantastic guys!
I was gonna say the same thing. These dudes are the most talented of all dudes! Pantera is forever!
It's a cover if they want originality listen to original songs who would say such a stupid criticism.
@@zedddddful I think you didn’t understand the comment he’s on about people saying that they should add their own style instead of playing it exact which is dumb
Agreed. There are certain songs you can't really make better. So the challenge becomes recreating it as good as the original is.
You know people are waiting for that squeal/vocal "battle" at the end.🤘
Always 🔥
And Ola did a Damn fine job!!!! Thanks Ola!!!!!
Yes...
Ola. You guys crushed it. Great tribute brother!!
Question i know i sound like an idiot asking this but im only new to the pantera music and happen to be loving it so anyways im guessing it was his birthday on the date of this video again sorry if i sound like a fool asking this
@@Nickgaming-sy5og Pantera is the shit. Great musicians! The bassists, Rex Brown is killing it. ALL of them is pure F'kn Groove!!
Awesome! 🤘 Great job Ola & squad
I'm most impressed that Anthony is singing live throughout this and didn't lip sing to a prerecorded track of his. Love that dude. Amazing cover 👏... and that tone...
You’re carrying the torch, Ola. I’ve never heard someone play Dime’s parts so good. It sounds so genuine. Happy birthday to Dime!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Ola killed it, but check out Wes Hauch.
@@distractionpool I was about to coment the same thing!
Ola killed it on this one. Definitely check out Wes of course and also CCShred. She can nail all of the early Power Metal/CFH/Vulgar stuff note for note.
Nobody has sounded like dime and I don't think they ever will you can get close though ola does a good job.
Et Kenny Giron ?
So many years have passed ...and that last divebomb STILL gives me chills!
It’s actually a pull up, not a dive bomb but I feel ya
We could start calling them dimebombs. Lol
@@Cannabiscracker 🤯
Wow!! + Delta empire.. this is awsome!
Wow...Just, wow. Everything was perfect... The guitar solos and nuances, the drum fills, and Anthony's voice. You guys nailed it... I'm sure Dime's smiling down saying "Yeah! Get you a pull of that"
Its Dimebag's birthday!! But all of us received this awesome gift. That's how Dimebag keeps giving us after all this time. Rip Dime and Vinnie \,,/. Killer job Ola, Delta and Anthony \,,/
I grew up spending time at Phil’s mom and aunt at their house, although I was much younger than him. He was already on the road all the time so didn’t see him often, but when I got older I got to spend time with them a couple times a year. I watched Dime sit on Phil’s couch with that guitar messing around while a boxing match was on tv. I was probably 12 at that point. Then, I would meet with them at various shows when they would come back in the mid-late 90s. Although I was too young to party with them, I saw plenty backstage and elsewhere. I haven’t talked to Phil in probably over 20 years, but looking back those times were surreal. I’m so glad talented guys like these are not letting everyone forget just how incredible their music is. I still remember his mom, Mickey, sending me a box full of swag with the CFH cd when it came out. Who knew what that would become…
thats awesome
Y'all cuttin' onions in here?! Awesome memory man! Thanks for sharing!
@@1175jaymz Haha. Thanks. I almost didn’t press send on that because I know not everybody likes to read things like this or maybe think it’s BS. Hearing Ola and the guys playing this song brought back a lot of memories. I wish everything ended better with the band, but man they had some good times, and inspired many with their music.
@@GoldTop57 They sure did man! Myself included! 🤘🤘
Godsize!!!!
That was awesome Ola, this is my favorite song of Pantera🤘 You nailed Dime's guitar parts perfectly and Anthony can hit those impossible vocal outro "gaaateeeesssss" scream! I just love this, the best version of CG I've seen!...Happy Birthday Dime. Cheers!🔥
It’s 2am in the night and I’m sitting here high as shit crying of pure joy wathching this video! This is so awesome!! Thank you guys for this, especially you Ola! Love what you are doing! Dime forever!!
me and you must be the same person , currently 153 watching this video stoned
Ahhh another exammple of "I am not a lead guitarrist" Ola playing perfectly. Seriously amazing cover. If you do another one please make the river dragon has come plz
Dimebag, and I have the same birthday? Well that's just pretty damn alright by me. RIP Dime.

ho la la ho ! la ! la ! thank you ola !!!!!! delta empire one of my favorite drummer !!!! it s killer !! thank you from France my friend !!
Strange how the last four and a half hours of this playing on loop went by in five minutes...
And I've been thinking about it off and on the last two days: Why am I looping this and not the original?
Answers to questions like this never show up when I'm looking for them. I usually have to distract myself and wait for revelations on the peripheries.
But it happened to me this hour while I played through one of my favorite missions in my favorite game for the thousandth time with this looping in the background...
I cannot listen to the original so often 'cause it consistently salts the wound of what we've lost. Of what was taken from us.
I _can_ keep listening to this unrestrained 'cause it reminds me of what we still have. Of what we can look forward to.
Does that make any sense? It _thinks_ like a rationalization, but it _feels_ like a survival strategy.
Grief compounds and dread builds.
Grief is a horde of memories, like waves of zombies, walking corpses of the loves and joys that were taken by a loss, and you can't take them all on at once and survive, but you have to get through _all_ of them at some point if ever you'd have new loves and new joys. You cannot destroy them, but you cannot allow them to walk. You cannot allow them to overwhelm you.
Start with the easy ones, the singular ones, avoid groups, and retreat when you must. _Retreat when you must!_ Over time, you quiet each memory. They never leave, but they lose the power to hurt you. They become more like ghosts, shades that linger, but have no power to harm. And some become a cold comfort, in time.
So must you deal with your grief, or it becomes dread. The opposite of hope. Grief is terrible, but dread is a killer.
So for me, this cover is a safer tether to the Abbotts than the original. It lets me hold the grief without actually touching it.
I need that sometimes. And I'm glad I have it now.
I love you all.
It's Dime's birthday, and WE get a present?
So unfair, on all levels imaginable.
Thank you for a gift unasked, a gift I never knew existed.
You folks dug deep down and brought a little light back into this (mercifully cool and sunless) day.
Freaking love how many different models of dime’s guitar you play
In my opinion Ola is one of the rare few guitarist out there that is able to play with a feel like Dime. He deserves - and does justice to - those guitars 😊
Sheer perfection. You are the only guitarist to get close to Dime's tone and feel. Genuine goosebumps dude 🤘🤘🤘🤘
You should also check out Attila Voros. Thank me later :D
Delta is just a dream drummer for any band
So cool to know that Dime and I share the same birthday
happy birthday man!
@@OlaEnglund THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Happy birthday. Hope you have a great day.
Holy shit Ola! This brought a tear to my eye, a lump in my throat, and a smile to my face. A tear remembering how much I miss Dimebag, a lump in my throat missing Vinnie Paul, and a smile to my face knowing they both are smiling down from heaven at you and your kickass cover! Thanks Ola!
Killer job everybody. Excellent playing Ola 🤘🤘
Amazing ... like the ori ... god bless u...
Out of breath, this is the best cemetery gates cover on CZcams. Thank you Ola for uploading this.
yall killed it!!
So effin good , every time I listen to Pantera it takes me back to some of the best times in my life , this band made every human emotion pour out from deep down inside the soul . I saw them at London's Brixton Academy in the 90s , I can't remember the exact year but I will never forget that Gig . Ola always delivers .
That was beautiful all around. Everyone nailed their parts. Sounded just like Dimebag was playing the song. Delta awesome on the drums and dude even nailed the gate screams at the end. I hope Rita Haney, Phil Anselmo and Rex see this video. They would be proud
One of my favorite Pantera songs.....Happy Birthday DIME 🤘🤘
Ola: Why Fender sent me this guitar to Will It Chug...
Dimebag from heaven: Yes... 🤘
Delta empire on drums just perfect
You can all just stop now. Way to much talent here. I must cry
happy birthday Dimebag Darrell. This was absolutely incredible.
I watched Delta's video and then went straight to Ola's. The closest thing we have to Dime these days is Ola. F.... yeah!!!! 🤘
Ola and Kenny Giron are the closest we have to Dimebag IMO. Sadly, Kenny hasn't posted in a long time
Thank you for honoring my biggest influence and hero.
Delta Empire throwing down!
Anthony on vocals was a very pleasant surprise, I love his channel!
When you actually see delta's kit, it's largely based on vinnie's
Happy birthday Dime!!!! We miss and cherish you everyday!!!! GETCHA PULL!!!!!
Dude, that snare sounds bad ass. Killer drumming! And killer cover and mix!!!
Tight cover by an Epic group of musicians.
What a performance by all 3 of you. Anthony, you gave me chills hitting those high notes. Love your voice! Delta crushing it on the drums as always. Ola! Dude! Dime would've been proud. The tone was spot on. And the guitar solo... just wow! I could tell you worked really hard to capture every little nuance to Dime's unorthodoxed playing style. Well done! Best cover ever!!
The tone and the nuances in the solo is what I noticed as well. So spot on!
Man I was blown away by this cover .... Gave me the standing arm hairs., beyond hostile... Much love. Peace to all
That snare lord Jesus help that snare 🔥 🔥 🔥
The solo is CLEAN!!
I couldnt move during this song im a massive Pantera fan , I was lucky to see them at Brixton Academy, I had tears in my eyes listening to this , it was played at my best friends funeral.
Means more to me than anything RIP Dime & Ricky.XX
The solo has so much passion
Brixton Academy. September 1994. My first ever metal gig and I bunked off school to get there. RIP Dime.
That must've felt so goddamn triumphant hitting those vocal notes and squeals, this was bad ass and i bet Dime would be damn proud
please please more more more pantera covers with delta...you two are the best doing it.
Keeping Dime's memory alive with perfect covers. Well done sir, well fucking done.
This was amazing. Absolutely, positively, 100% amazing.
We need a Pantera tribute band tour with you all. Need it.
One of the best thrash metal
Ballads ever written
My favourite Pantera song of all time
Ola! Pick up Dime with Solar!! I'm sure you've heard they cut ties with Dean... MAKE IT HAPPEN OLA!! Solar Dime guitars, come on who wouldn't like that!?!?
Awesome! The solo was executed flawlessly, that’s a difficult solo to play. Happy Birthday Dimebag!
No one could do it better.Ty Ola and guys.Greatings from Croatia
I'm a different person after watching this perfect cover. Well done guys.
Absolutely epic! Nothing like a little Pantera to start the day. 👍🏼
Fuckin' A! This sounds fucking awesome and Anthony Vincent knocked it out of the fucking park! Well done guys! ❤
EDIT: Happy Birthday Dime!
You guys sound awesome ola great job you really nailed the lead you are a really cool guy I enjoy your podcast ola England I believe the name is you are always up to something interesting and helpful much appreciated I also enjoyed when you went to Texas to see the brothers resting place God bless there souls and Ola keep doing you brother truly a great dude and awesome guitarist.
You all nailed the landing, superb!
Stellar! Thank you for this and most importantly...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIME!!
The build up in the main solo is perfect. Dime was such a good songwriter.
Happy Birthday Dime, absolute legend and just a naturally talented guitarist. It's a good thing I was a little too young to get into metal when Dimebag was murdered. Reading about the details still chokes me up man, fuck. Mid 2000s I was getting into Dream Theater and had that typical "petrucci is God" elitism, I remember my bassist friend and I auditioned a drummer, he kept saying "Dimebag was the greatest guitarist" and I was like "heh, sure bud."
If there's anything I've learned in music it's to always appreciate someone else's approach and talent even if you don't resonate it with it at that moment.
It is an absolute crime this doesn't have more views. You all completely knocked this out of the park. So amazing..... across the board. Love, love, LOVE this!
R I P Dime! It's all about the GROOVE! And what a groove then 😜 Awesome cover Ola!
What a team! Awesome cover guys! Goosebumps more than once...
One of the best songs of all time, and such a time piece. Instantly teleports me back to the that alternative part of the mid/early 90s of horror movies, Diablo 1 LANs and Magic The Gathering.
Dude for me it was Diablo 2 and LANs and Final fantasy 7 and Vulgar display of power and Cowboys from hell.
Oh my cat's are jumping 😽🐈👁️😅🫦thank u SOOO much 😊yummy
I'll have a black tooth grin to that one any day. Great tribute guys!! Wow, I'm blown away!!! Getcha a pull son!!
this is the closest thing to pantera we have. amazing job...
That would be "Vulgar Display of Cover"
Those guys nail it near perfectly. Check out their "The Great Southern Trendkill", "A New Level" or "Yesterday Don't Mean Shit" covers.
Delta Empire is the best drummer on CZcams and Anthony Vincent is one of the most versatile and talented vocalists I’ve ever heard. Fantastic collaboration! Thank you.
Jorge "el estepario siberiano" Garrido
Perfect cover, nothing can match this except the original....awesome guys big fan of pentera and big of yours too.
this is the best cover i have heard of this song Anthony hit every note, and your playing would have made dime proud Ola, you all get a 20 out of 10. and let me not forget damn fine drumming. perfect cover!!!
37 choads couldn't get 10 seconds past the quality of that Fender acoustasonic! Great job, Ola, Delta and Anthony Vincent! R.I.P. Dime & Vinnie!⛧🤘
Beautiful. Outstanding performance by all three, definitely the best cover I have seen. 11/10 video and that doesnt do it justice
Holy f n f i was mainly waiting for the end for the hauntingly beautiful gates, and you did it wow. Most covers skip that part. Great cover ! Awesome vocals! Awesome drummer and the guitarist holy! Very impressed
Probably the best cover ever! Hands down! That was sick!
Ola, until today, of all attempts I've ever seen to replicate Dime's playing I'd only regarded Synyster Gates as coming close. You did an outstanding job of getting some of Dime's nuance down in the solo man that's super awesome. 🙌
Have you even heard of Wes Hauch?
Yea Avenged Sevenfold’s cover of walk is really really good the solo doesn’t have the same feel that Dimebag’s does but Syn got real damn close
@@MustakimAlMahdi no, will check him out
WOW!! This brought tears to my eyes- tears of HAPPINESS!!! Incredible rendition, gentlemen. Ola, please consider doing more of these???
Didn't Ola could play that good! You all kicked ass!
Amazing, chills all the way through !!
Never heard someone honor this solo the way it was done here. You're a legend.
Absolutely THE best cover of this song I have ever heard, Ola. All three of you guys knocked this mother f'er out of the park! AWESOME JOB Dude!! I believe Dime would be proud.
Ola best guitar cover I have ever of this song. Great job all of you totally awesome
Those Washburn guitars make me wanna cry.
Ola, you're one of two people I've ever heard who nailed the Dime tone. The other person is John Petrucci. This was unbelievable. Anthony's vocals were monster-tier, and the rhythm section were fantastic as well, I just don't know their names.
Nah. Wes Haugh nails the tone.
Vinnie and Rex. 😄🤘
The presets that come with the Amplitube Dimebag collection are insane. I know that's what Ola has used in past for Pantera covers.
@@dennissorensen8765 I'm not sure if this was directed at me. I meant the bass and drum players on this cover.
@@playswithpixels And now I have to hear it again.

lol probably needing a better AC, this summer has been a real scorcher!
Blessed to have met Dime Bag way back" You did them all proud....!
This is stellar. The vocals are excellent, drumming next level and Ola those solos and riffs are nailed brilliantly. Amazing job 🤘
