If you find the right balance then no, when I’ve been in top divisions and cut out the app and unused sub fee then your club can save a lot more money which in turn would raise wage budget
Usually it works for me if i increase their wage by 1-2 clicks on the arrow and the remove all the bonuses. If it does not work i will do a assist/goal bonus that the player wont get to anyways
I love baiting them with bonuses they are unlikely to ever take. Like signing a possible future prospect who will have a huge raise after X games played, but he will never make those appearances. Not on that contract. His next might not even happen. Players who get injured a lot, but are good, should be on appearance fees and low salary.
I’m happy to give a % of future fee if they are very likely to not sell or retire before that as often that can convince them to sign when maybe they wouldn’t. Thanks for watching
@@mantorras7752 if it is a rotation who doesn’t play a lot then it’s worth it but if he is playing many games. You save a lot just paying a little more weekly and no app fee
@@thenorthman1987 well i usually bring out the Calculator and multiply appearance fee x40 and then minis that from the salary. definitely not something i do with everyone. I generally agree with you though I will never give someone their asking amount and appearance fees.
Remove all extra bonuses add 5% of selling fee lower wages a bit , but not too much , they will come back with a higher wage , remove any bonuses they add lower wages to just below original wage they wanted. They will either accept or lower the new amount. Try to offer above the old request and lower than new request and they should accept. When i was first doing it i was taking the piss and no one signed a new contract , but you can remove all bonuses , but you must give 5% of the selling fee , then its just a case of getting used to lowering and ultimately finding the sweet spot in negotiations. Probably best to save your game , test it by offering new contracts to practice , then reloading and give it a go in renewing contracts and new signings. If you do take the piss and try and go too low they will just walk away , add up all the bonuses , add it to the wages , and try and get the wage he wants lower and it will save money. OR lower the wages really low , offer a bit more in bonuses , this is a case of paying the players for how well they do rather than a guaranteed wage.
This is not something you should tell people to completely avoid. You could have negotiated the first offer down to under 2k/w and both fees down. Then calculated the total amount he'd be owed if he plays for x amount of games, sits on the bench for x, and misses x (don't have to pay the fees). More often than not, this ends up being slightly less, than just upping the base salary.
To completely avoid I do agree is a tough balance but if I called this video ‘most of the time stick to this and find a balance’ then it won’t get a view 😂 I am working on a long fm24 video looking at all aspects of contracts depending on level
I only give them the unused sub fees and appearances because A I can attract better players to play in Gibraltar and B they deserve it they chose to play in a less demanding league so why not pay KDB £29, 000 per week to play at level where he can relax. Basically I gived Messi, jordi alaba, busquets a crap ton of cash and our finances are so secure because we make a European competition every year.
@@thenorthman1987 Messi was sick when he played 2 seasons for us he scored over 80 goals and got plenty of assists. The season Messi retired I signed KDB, Varane because we had European money to spend like £4M
Just found your channel. Loved this vid. And it was very sweet giving your dad a plaque as well. I wish i could sit down w my dad and do things like this. You got my sub❤
it is an example if signing a injury prone player yeah but in a 1 minute YT short you cant point to all examples just the basic of app fee and unused being a waste. there is a plan for a detailed video on FM24 about costings @@shaboy1988
This is a good tip, Currently exeter city and they have no funds. Another one to watch out for is the highest paid player clause, been caught out by that a couple times
You can normally get one or 2 clicks up, for example I just secured a player who wanted 85k per week and 30k app fee a game and he would play 40 games a year so 1.2m a season for playing games I got him at 90k a week which makes it 4.6m a year instead of 4.2m so 400k extra wages but saving 800k on him alone, if that is over 10 of my x11 players for example that’s 8m a year Stick at it bud and it can save a lot, just get that calculator and x by 52 the extra wage compared to app fee to see how much you still would save
I always do the opposite, lower their basic salary, then increase their appearance/sub fee. If it's European competition or cup competition where I am willing to rest key players, they won't even be on the bench so that's a lot of money I have saved, let's say they wanted 120k a week and 20k appearance fee and 10k sub fee, I will make it 100k a week with 30k appearance fee and 20k sub fee, so suddenly I saved money regardless he start, subbed on and even when they're not playing.
u can do that only in lower leagues , u can do it with man City but top top players won't sign , so u will end up buying players that r below man City level , for example
That’s not true, I have had many a time at a top club and instead of 200k and 40k every time they play for example you offer 210k a week and you can secure players, it works at all levels
@thenorthman1987 any screenshots, or make a video showing us that save , top top player in top top club no one or only 2 getting payed nothing per apperence, I play manager since 99/00 , and am arguably no.1 fmPlayer world

Clearly you dont play lower league well.. in a lower league with restricred budget, you pay a substisute an appearence fee high but a lower wage especially on keeper.
As I’ve stated in many videos, it’s impossible to explain all in a YT short and in LLM it’s totally different and I’ve made guides about only x11 you pay wages to and rest app fee but hey, you comment without researching my content..: 👍👊😅
I agree, don´t buy this prototype of a game. It´s in depth a mess of inconsistencies and sloppy programmed. They only had over 30 years to develop it but they don´t care, they sell it anyway.
To raise your payroll you can mainly ask the board in club vision or finances as well as moving finance from transfer budget, so sales of players can free up wages and also then give money to move from transfer to wage budget
💀💀💀. Was it me or at the beginning i thought this guy was gonna say dont buy fm23 as in the whole game.
Never 😂 but I do get the opening line is a hook in 😂
Do not buy it for console, especially if you've played it on PC. Absolute shambles. Watered down version of the real thing
Been doing this since FM 12 🎉
Saving the money 👏👏
but in the premier league if you did this the weekly wage would be sky rocket high

I lock them at 0, same for agent fees usually. and I lock a optional contract extension on too ;)
Smart play, if you can get agent fee locked then fantastic, they will take all they can get 😂
Exactly what I do. If they reject I will just replace them with a different player there are so many options, his loss.

Taking away appearance fees just increases overall wage expectations so it doesn’t matter either way
It does matter if planned right but of course it will increase basic wage but it’s about finding the balance

If they're on 2.5k/week, with an appearance fee of 550, wouldn't that realistically just be 3.5k/week at the most
Of course league to league it’s totally depending on amount of games etc to calculate the exact amounts
This is a good tip, Currently exeter city and they have no funds. Another one to watch out for is the highest paid player clause, been caught out by that a couple times

Whenever i remove app fee they wants ridiculously high wages

ohh the wage allowance. i thought you were trying to tell us not to buy FM, i was saying what the hell is this guy talking abt
If someone tells you not to buy FM, block them 😂😂😂
No because when i sign big names in the prem id rather give them an apperance fee than skyrocket the wagw
If you feel that’s the way to go then ok. If you can make it work finance wise to save
How do I train a player for tackling it doesn’t seem to show in the development
the only way to directly train it is when selecting to train a position/role/duty but that covers all for the position.
So what do you do remove and exclude them from the contact ??
Yeah basically just removal of them
I’ve actually never checked this - bud does these appearance fees come out of your budget every week?
Yeah your wage budget is affected by this
