I still think the answer rings true though…even for that unnamed death we’re all thinking of. No one is safe in this show. If we’re growing attached to any new characters, we should be prepared for the fallout. We did get a Dacre cameo in 4, but if they do a cameo with this character, we should be prepared for the pain.

I love the explanation Gaten gave in regards to Barb's death and his acknowledgement of fans wanting her to come back but knowing full well that's never going to happen.
It's true, me and others who I know personally or those of several communities all had the same explanation, that her death was an essential plot point for character development and worldbuilding. It showed us that as he says, no one is really safe in their hometown if the upside down gateway exists and that gave the characters a thing to look back to for what they do in the following seasons.
No one except the main cast is safe. It's kinda like fast and furious lmao
Gaten is actually super smart, down to earth and so articulate for their age at 16. Seeing them now I'm even more proud of them, it sounds stupid but I genuinely have been rooting for this kid for a long time and seeing them still growing is awesome to me. It might be that I have a 6 year old and relate with Gaten with my kid but I'm so so happy for them

It’s definitely faked for the viewer, if you look at 4:15 you can see the clip of the lie detector replays it’s self. They made it look like he tells the truth the whole time bc he did, but the lie detector probably messed up so they had to show the same clip of nothing happening to it over and over again.

Sam Aljaal yeah true, I find it weird, the other videos seemed to have honest recordings as the lines would move even though the other guests are telling the truth apparently, so why hide it here? Or maybe it was just an error with the camera. At 2:14 you can see the number 18 on the left repeats itself as that segment is replayed, but it’s not replayed again I think. So it could just be an error.
Yeah a lot of it was faked, but you don't need to say Yes or No. The machine monitors a lot of things so even if you tried to lie with long sentences it would probably make it harder, it all depends on if you trained yourself to deceive the machine.

Hes so adorable. My absolute favorite character and actor. Hes so innocent and pure still which is hard to hold onto when you grow up on camera. Beautiful to see and i hope more learn to do so. I also love how he is unapologetically himself and embraces everything about himself. Great kid!!!!

The lie detector detects change in how fast your heart beats which is different when you lie. He thought he was telling the truth so it didn't move.
It's just on a loop if you pay attention to it plus lie detectors aren't very reliable even if this would have been legit so...
