- Tech innovation in the United States is dominated by a few cities on the coasts.
Billionaire investor Steve Case, one of the founders of America Online, is on a mission to level the playing field for American innovators. He launched a project called, “Rise of the Rest,” where he and fellow business people travel to smaller cities and towns across the US in search of the next big thing.
Host Steve Clemons asks Case about why he recently joined the US National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship and how some government policies are hindering US competitiveness worldwide.

He's wrong. There's no shortage of foreign entrepreneurs. We get a thousand a day across the border in Texas alone. It's amazing how resourceful they are in carving out their own little niche in the American dream. Of course that sometimes interferes with the pre-existing dreams and some people no longer have a niche. But that's why we have Portland, Seattle, and California. Homeless Heaven.
Definitely….those US companies do not joke
The skeptic in me feels like this is a paid commercial for this individuals company. I know that's how American journalism works. Usually the public relations person hands a journalist a press release and the journalist and that's the bottom line.
