      @@EdgeRoofCleaningCanada usually we keep up no problem but at least once a week we hit a really slow we’ll. 8 just isn’t optimal right now. Next season I hope to have more water capacity

    I need to set my trailer up just like you have your truck because I’m digging that proportioner hooked up to the injector AND the 12v
    I’ll have to brainstorm how you ran all the plumbing to pull both into the proportioner

      So the proportioner valves go to straight SH , Water , and soap tank.... the proportioner OUTLET goes to a three way ball valve. One direction on the ball valve goes to the 12v which then goes to the softwash hose reel. The other direction on the ball valve goes straight to the chemical injector ?

    That Super Sud Sucker is awesome. I use it with Stainless Steel Airless Downstream Foam Wand from Powerwash.com and get thick foam. Great for getting thick chem on the roof or any real dirty surface.

    Another awesome video! Why do you have a 3 way valve coming from your soap tank? I know one goes to the proportioner. Where does the other one go? Also, where did you get the brackets to hold down your banjo valves? Are those just standard U brackets from Lowes or are they made for the banjo valve?

    Very educational video. question I am new to pressure washing let me add. I have a soft-wash setup with 3 metering valves you are saying I can turn the water off and use soap and Sh only how I would only get a 2% mix with just soap and Sh and no water where did the Sh get weaken please explain so I have a clear picture. of what I need to do correctly thanks

    Great explanation on your set up, is there an advantage of belt drive or direct drive pumps?

      Belt drive operates the pump at a lower rpm and draws water. Lasts longer and is better with buffer tank. Direct drive typically needs force fed water

    How much of straight elemonator would you put in bleach tank if you didn't have the separate soap tank? I thought I heard you say like 1 oz per gallon of bleach awhile back, is that right? Ex: 50 oz of straight elemonator to 50 gallons of bleach to downstream?

      The other banjo is tied into the same pump and is used for chemical transfer up onto the rig and flushing

      F9 Barc is my go to. But you can buy Rust Aid at Lowe’s. Works pretty good

    Ok. I'm gonna ask the dumb question. How are you pulling 2% when you have your water turned off? Or better dumb question..everything goes through the proportioner...right? If you have your water off...where's it coming from out of the wand?

      Hey Jim. Yes when Downstreaming through the proportioner water is added by the pressure washer. So water off on proportioner. Pull straight shock. My super sud sucker injector gets me 2% at the tip. So SH wide open on valve mixed with water from the pressure washer gets me 2%. If I then turn the sh valve down I can reduce the % at the tip

    Is the proportioner upstream of the pump like most people set it up? If so, like most people, when you’re off the trigger and proportioner has sh on, sh goes to buffer tank, and later to your hair and hands at your wash station. So maybe your hair isn’t really blonde, it’s bleach blonde, haha. Be careful!

      Hey Mike. Proportioner is upstream of 12 volt yes. But downstream of power washer. So no chem goes into buffer off trigger. I went white at 35 😂🤷🏼‍♂️

      It's a soaping nozzle for long distances. Can also be used for rinsing when downstream injector is bypassed.

    Probably a dumb question, but how come you can only get a 2% mix with the downstreamer but got all the way up to 6% with the 12volt?
    And as a follow up, is a 2% mix via downstreaming strong enough for shingle roofs? I'd like to start offering roof cleaning but don't have the capital to invest in a 12volt system yet

      The downstream dilutes with water from the pressure washer. So even if I pull straight sh, dilution at the tip is 2%

      That’s what I figured… is my math right in thinking that running straight 12% SH through a Super Suds Injector (they claim 33%) should leave me around 4% mix at the tip? I’m trying to figure out a decent way to do roofs until I can buy a soft wash setup

      @@SomeGuywithTools that’s what I have and does NOT pull 33% with my set up. A 4gpm pump might do higher. You’ll need a 12 volt to do roofs properly

      @@powerfulimprovements ya I’ve got no doubts that I will need to get a 12-volt sooner rather than later, but I want to try and make do until then. A 4 GPM is what I’m running right now, so maybe I’ll get away with it somewhat for the time being
