- What is netstat? Netstat is a command line tool that is used to display the current network connections and port activity on your computer. It’s a useful tool that you can use to see what service may be running on your computer or server and what ports are open.
Netstat -b requires elevation and has to be run as an administrator. You can open cmd as an administrator by searching for it in the Windows search bar located in the bottom left corner of the desktop screen. Type cmd in the search bar, then, right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

How to display only Foreign Address on Netstat? only the addresses I want to see. NOT Proto, NOT Local Address and NOT State..
I'm surprised you didn't talk about the -o switch, witch shows the (PID) process ID. This is very useful for identifying applications that are connecting to the internet. If you find that there is an application that is misbehaving or shouldn't be connected to the internet, than you can find it in the task manager using the process ID and kill the program or application! Very useful tool!

i hear lots of scammers use this to say your computer has a virus, but i was wondering what it actually did, so thanks for telling us!
Good stuff. Thank you
Keep up the good work
You’re such a G 🔥👊🏾
you da bomb bro thnx
Thanks. That was great.
Nice and clean.
Just a note that, on Linux, netstat has been obsoleted by the ss command in the iproute2 suite of tools.
Just to add to the fun, on FreeBSD, the route command cannot list existing routes: you have to use netstat for that.
thanks We really appreciate
