I just recently got one from my neighbor and it's all original parts but it's been sitting outside for 8 years. I'm 15 and I plan on restoring it but I don't quite know much about the bike.
I bought mine in 1976, same red color, from a motorcycle shop on route 9 in Shrewsbury, MA. It cost around $1300 new. I had it about a year and sold it. Maybe that was my bike. Archie’s Cycle!!! It’s coming back to me as I type this. 😎👍
I bought a 77 rd400, chappy red.I rode it stock from philly to tacoma in 5 days. Blew up the first motor from a lean out after putting on expansion chambers and running klotz nitro power. I had a tz250 crank built for it and all the goodies installed. I used to humiliate much bigger bikes. I wish i still had it.
4100.00 in new parts n labor but you didn't replace the shot fenders and chrome. I day in the rain and all that pitted , shot chrome will be back to orange rust

A very few of those came into the UK in those colours.We had them in Black,blue or silver with the Kenny Robert's style black and white speed blocks!

Geneva Green was the best color in 76'... also, 76' should have red turn signals.
I had a green one just got my license DG pipes port and polish YZ 125 carburetors and some scumbag stolen and totaled the son of a bitch
