- Glendora Mountain Road is one of the most famous twisty motorcycle roads in Southern California. Just the mention of the letters GMR brings a twinkle to the eye of practically every sport bike rider in Southern California. On the flip-side, the mention of Glendora Mountain Road to the ears of a first responder may bring groans and raised eyebrows as they suit up and bring possible medical attention to someone who thought they were the next Valentino Rossi. No matter how you slice it, you would be hard pressed to find another road in the area that compares to the infamous Glendora Mountain Road. Join me as we take Sir Klaus on a leisurely run down a portion of GMR. I would also would like to hear more engine sound, but the wind roar over the windscreen is a well known issue for the RS. Nonetheless, glad to have you along! (Permission granted for music usage on CZcams)
What an amazing road Joe. Lots of curves and views. You and Klause are one machine. Music was perfect.
Ha ha - one machine alright - one runs, the other can’t walk straight! It ain’t no Tenre!
Now I have to get up on that road. Fantastic! Your BMW is classic art. Thanks.
Great road when not busy. We’ll have to run it together. All the best Rob.
Great day out there! I need to get back out that way again, I’m just in OC by Ortega Hwy ha 🏁
Good ole Ortega Hwy! I’ve ran it much! Good to hear from you. Joe
Wish I could hear the engine and exhaust - not the music
I know. Me too. One of the difficult issues with the RS and stock windscreen is the horrible wind roar. Sorry. I’ll work on it. Appreciate you coming by. All the best. Joe
What month/year was yours born? Amazing bike, what a great road too!
Thank you. 12/1976 was the birthdate on the VIN plate.
Good to hear from you! Welcome. Joe
PS I am from Maryland, Dundalk then moved to Essex. Came out to CA in 1974.
I'm hypoimpressed.
Hello Mike. Good to have you come by! Welcome. Joe
