The violin shop/ollivanders comparison is SPOT ON. The instrument really does choose the musician.
I got my Albun when I was 11. I was discouraged to play by a music teacher. Albun was my grandfather's violin and I named it after him. Albun was his middle name. Everytime I start to play something happens. Now he has a small crack..but he is waiting..I have been his caretaker for over 40years and will be until the end. He chose me that is for sure. and I will play him one day.
A violin chose me a long time ago at the violin shop but I was being cheap and didn't buy it. I regret it forever.
The one she said was her favorite really did sound the best. Beautiful
My absolute favorite of all is David Bowie the bow. ❤
Nice, she’s talented and a dork, love it...power to you
I keep clicking on her videos when I see them because I'm obsessed with the thought that she is actually Jenna Marbles and she has multiple identities. I'm waiting for the mask to drop...

Lindsey is not even close to Jenna. Jenna doesn't even play the violin. If you even knew Lindsey, you would see that both of them are quite different.
Love your names for your violins😊
The baby violin "pickles" looks so cute 😂😂😂
OMG !! :) Between Twilight played on Excalibur !!! Perfect !! What a great interview , thanks !!
Lindsey Stirling has a very good violin collection.
Thank You for sharing your collection with us. Lindsey is such an Amazing...multi talented beautiful lady!
I love videos like this, especially centered on my favorite violinist! I enjoy seeing their choices in instruments and how they came to own and play them.
I wish she had shown how the violumpet sounds, even if it was bad hahaha
The one that has a trumpet is from a very famous trumpet player from St Louis... cause when your smiling. Btw the hair from the red bow is actually gathered humanely from Barbary lion specifically for Excalibur. 😘😘😘 the crystal was hard to place together
now she must tell a story about her fur caps. She loves them no less than the violins
I fall in Love with David. 😅🎻 This Violin is so cool. 🎻
This interview was just simply marvelous darling.
I agree with Lindsey, Yamaha electric violins are awesome! I really like my YEV-104 and fishman loudbox artist amp combo.
Uhhhh yesss I first got a yev 104 and LOVED IT so then I got a sv255 and got a fish man amp and it’s the BEST
2:42 "It's wonderful to see you Gandalf!"
I used to play the violin when I was a child, but later switched to the viola. Thank you so very much for sharing.
The Electric Violins sounds not so good without Amplifier, but this is normal. Excalibur sounds excellent.
Fun fact: Lindsey's Horn/Yamaha Electric Violin is a spin on the 1800s Stroh Violin, which the sound came out from the horn from this strip of wood!
Also, the EV she used for Master of Tides and Roundtable Rival was a discontinued and rare Yamaha EV that was popular back in the 2000s era. Due to it being discontinued, a rep from the Electric Violin Shop said that the reason for it not being produced is due to the certain materials in the instrument which was awful.
the best acrobat among violinists.
Tons of ❤️ Lindsey! You brighten the world! 👏🏻
SHE IS A AMAZING MUSICIAN AND PERSON 🎻☺️. REALLY LOVE HER CHARISMA AND HER MUSIC .

I have a question. What size is that Tiny Violin (Pickles) at 5:38? Is it 1/16 size or 1/32 size?
1/16
So Cool !!!! Different ones different sounds. !!! Much talent

Amazing American Talent !!! Lindsey, your music is lovely and I love your natural beauty. Beautiful young lady !!! Bravo !!! Thanks Johnny.
Do anyone knows the name of that LA violin shop? 👀
THERE'S A VIOLIN SHOP CALLED,"THE LA VIOLIN SHOP". Purchased my best violin pal, Gustavo, from there! Also, fun fact: the violin luthier who crafted Lindsey's Acoustic Violin(Excalibur) has a cousin who made my violin, Gustav August Flicker!
Piano guys or simply three interview next 🤘

No, just an upgrade to a special identity.
I'm 59 and a Harry Potter fan
Talent❤️
Is it just me that noticed Lindsey played with her eyes closed THE WHOLE TIME?! Impressive.
Most violinists shut their eyes because you are technically remembering note placement. I started 10 years ago and once I figured out where the notes are on the instrument, it really makes it fairly easy to play without looking for finger position.
I never look at my hands while playing lol
Shes so beautiful and talented ❤
Great gear deep dive! Personal stories and technical advice that went far beyond the usual “had money, bought expensive vintage thing”.
Be still my heart.
got some amazing violins can they make their sound?
Please never stop evolving
Gorgeous ❤️

-I'm not sure what's more impressive... the violins or her hairdo...-
*_Ignore this comment_*
that's a hat
that was once an animal
lol I see that now... I'm blind 😂
Thanks guys
@@johncaccioppo1142 I'm sure it's a phony animal. Fake fur
Zombeegun yes it is
Twoset Violin should review this on their next video.
Why? Would it change the violins or Lindsey? She has been playing for 30 years. Lindsey knows what she's doing.
I'm sure she played a few Stradivaris, Amatis and Guarnarri violins in her life. It would be nice to have her opinion on them.
I asked her at my 1st m/g if she ever test drove a Stradivarius. She said she was too nervous "you break it,you bought it"
I heard one it person and to be honest the sound it okay but I’ve heard better, I think they are sooo expensive because if their history
She’ll never go up past 5th position so there’s no problem there.
