Just a quick addition for anyone who didn’t know, Accrington is also home of the world’s oldest civilian pipe band. Formed in 1885 in ex serviceman’s club based on Abby st on the town.

Learned about Accrington from Bumble. He used to make plenty of comments about Accrington FC during cricket commentary.

Grew up in Accy. It was dump long before the current problems.
Building the arndale on top of what was a beautiful Italian sunken garden was the start of its problems.
There's little good work. It's too easy to go past.
Back in the 90s Broadway was a shopping street of charity shops.
I don't like to dis any town, I grew up there and was schooled there. Parents still live there. But I never go back. Live in Bury now and there's no reason to go.

Accrington has been hit really hard by 14 years of a Conservative Government. Why on earth would people for Hyndburn vote Tory? It's stupid as hell.

Yo robbo why you have photos of disfigured hollocaust victims with no weapons? THEY ARE NOT THE ACCY PALS, PAL.
    YOU NEED THE CORRECT PHOTOGRAPH!!
The Accy Pals photo they all have guns and look a lot more dashing.

I didn’t want to make a video about Accrington without mentioning the 11th battalion East Lancashire regiment. I don’t own the copyright to any original photos, so used AI pictures to enable me to make the video.

@@Robbo8ball omg sir, I am an Accrington lad myself and much like the rest of the male population in The Great home of the Holden's, over a thousand years ago in when surnames where given describing where they live and hol means hollow and den is for deep describing the topography of Accrington's deep hollow.
In 1000's The King rewarded the gamekeepers of Blackburnshire forrest aka Accrington (His Royal hunting grounds) for their loyalty to, as the story goes the King decided he wanted to build a town and The population of Holdens felled 10000 trees in 10 days.
Unfortunately it was discovered that the earth was not fit for crop and so for the foresters outstanding effort and years of loyal service Accrington was the very first peice of land gifted to The Holden family by the crown, they went on to acquire over 39,000 Square hectares, the land of Lancashire.
Until mid 1800's when it became concealed lands of the crown, that means it can't be sold by the monarch because it doesn't belong to them rightfully, those records are concealed by the crown. FYI lol.
Anyways me not realising it was AI generated video I thought that the roads where tarmac in 1845, and that the Accrington pals had all been original test subjects for the holocaust as casualties of war, that where disfigured by chemicals and the debourtury of world nations secret trading family sacrifice family slaughter from Russian leaders to a generation of friends family neighbours colleagues citizens of an ancient modern day silicone valley of it day negotiated over to the natzi uprising, and then perhaps 25years later ALL of our Men, held Casualty/ PRISONERS-of-war. Barely recognisable by the world in which they fought for years earlier, PARADED AND PORTRAYED AS JEWS CERTAIN FOR DEATH!!!
      SO THANKS FOR THAT ROBBO!#?
So what do you think on that basis of theology.
