I really appreciate the “History Bit” about the difference between burst and shear lipped bottles. Thanks Willy !! 🌼🤗
Thanks Karyn. Felt I had to explain it properly after I fluffed the explanation in the heat of the dig! Willie :)
@@dirtysecretsofscotland yes!! Very helpful, after a good year or so of watching your & Northern Mudlarks’ videos. This ink in particular has a really pleasing unusual shape.
You are my most favorite channel of all channels, you put so much more content in your work. I have watched you from the beginning of your channel you and Sara are the best.
Aw - thanks Deborah! We really appreciate you sticking by us! Lovely comment to read! Willie :)
So good to see Dave! 🙃
Love those Belter Boggie dances 🕺.
Hi Cynthia - yeah! I was so surprised to see him! To be honest, I'd feared the worst for him... but he was doing exactly the same things - same tree, same movements - I'm certain it's him! Gotta love the boogy! Willie :)
Also "buzzin'" about that blue cream pot! 💙 I think Dave, the Robin just said he needs to be included in the end credits too! 🐦
Thanks Candy! You know what, I thought the exact same thing IMMEDIATELY after I uploaded the video! Doh! I feel bad now! Dave is a LEGEND! Willie :)
I love the repair job. It always turns out great. Thank you.🇨🇦
Very nice finds, I do love the Buttercup Cream Pot! You did a great job of repairing it!💖

Your Buttercup cream bottle is a delight! You have your repairs down to a science. I really love your videos, you make an old lady smile. Thank you!!
The Buttercup Cream dance was a pure belter!
You made a good job of that cream jar Willie and it can be enjoyed for a few more years to come.
Willie, I never get tired of watching your diggin for treasures. Great finds. 🌻🐝🐕🇺🇸
Thanks Guadalupe! Lovely to see your name in the comments. Willie :)
You are blessed it was 110 Fahrenheit yesterday at my house in the United States. We are praying for rain and cool down
Oh! That sounds crazy Diane! I hope you get your cooling rain. Willie :)
Loved watching you repair the buttercup jar
WILLY, I love the restoration and repair & art work about as much as I love the digging!
Thank you for your rainy day creations!! Xoxo
Thanks Melanie. Literally, the Rainy Days section happened during a really rainy spell. I couldn’t get out digging, so I started crafting instead! Glad it’s quite a popular part of the videos now and that you enjoy it! 😊
Yaaaaay Dirty Secrets is on!!!!! Already sent to all my granddaughters and my niece!!!!! Such a fun thing to share with my creative girls! Thank you!!!
You are so amazing! Taking all the colors and matching the pot! Wow!
Fab! Glad the whole family can get involved! And thanks - very encouraging and kind words! Willie :)
That is a Beautiful cream pot and you did a fantastic job repairing it. Always love to belter boogies and wonderful to see Dave too!
Thanks Debbie! Seeing Dave again really did make my week! His characteristics were the same. He repeatedly landed on exactly the same branch of the same tree as before - there's no doubt it's him. I had feared the worst for him, being honest! Lovely to see him back!
Glad you enjoyed the boogying and the resto too. Willie :)
I really like the fast pace of your videos when you show the bottles just dug and then when they’re clean. I wonder if Buttercup is the name of that lovely cow?
Good to see Dave is back! Glad you found the blue topped cream pot. Nice repair and great finds.
Brilliant video Willie. Restoration at the end was epic. As usual now, off to see Sarah. Cheers, John.
Buttercup belter boogie! And Dave brought you luck!
Thanks Elizabeth! It made my week to see Dave again. I do wonder where the wee Robin-rascal has been!! Willie :)
Congrats on the day's great finds!
Thanks Colleen - a very lucky and enjoyable dig! Willie :)
Beautiful repairs...
Thanks Margie. Willie :)
great video Willie.. your belter boogie do make me chuckle lol .... yay for Dave.. nice to see him :) mystery round thing a crude checker piece? ...that buttercup jar is lovely :)
Thanks Sue - and thanks for the subject matter for the 'Dave' painting! Such a coincidence that he deigned to make his return the same week that Sarah finished your painting!!
We think it is a checker piece too. Willie :)
@@dirtysecretsofscotland Dave has been awol because he's been looking out for his new family... you'll see him more now. Dave painting in his perfect place at home. i love it :)
Awesome repair on the butter cram pot!
Very successful dig. But it looked pretty dang hot there, be careful out there. Ya dont want to end up in that hole permenently. You would be missed! The cream pot is great, there were some really good finds this dig. Quality over quantity. Loved it.
Im in the air conditioned house watchin you sweat. 😂 lts supposed to be 105 here today and hotter the rest of the week. So l know how you are feeling.
Tell Sarah hi and give wee Jack a rub for me.
Thanks Tina - it really was a good dig - lots of lovely finds. Very hard work in the heat, as you said.
And thanks, but I'll be ok - made of strong stuff, us Scots! :)
A big hi from the DSOS sofa! Jack said thanks for the tummy rub! Willie :)
Great videos tonight you guys. Love that cream pot
Congrats on the butter cream. It is a cool find.
Appreciated the history bit on the bottle tops.
Dave!
That bucket list cream pot was gorgeous, and you did such a good repair on it (of course!), and trust you to put a colander on your head!
It was good to see wee Dave back, I've missed his appearances.
I loved the chilli bottle, the twists on the neck make it look beautifully wonky.
Thanks for another belter video Willie 😁
Edit - hi to Willie's new subscribers 😃👋🏻 you should check out his partner Sarah's channel - 'She walks, she paints' 👌🏻😁
Congratulations! I enjoy it so very much when you find your bucket list finds. Sundays just keep getting better and better. Thank you!
Thanks Sadie - still so many more to find and I love finding them too! Hopefully have a few more popping up soon! Willie :)
Yes, definitely 'happy days'. So happy for you that you found such great belters. Love watching your repairs.💃💗
Congrats on the Buttercup Cream Pot, Willie! You did a fantastic job of repairing the damage, including the coloured pencil crazing you replicated. Also, I’m amazed at how thick the walls of the pot are, and that there was no actual hole there. Great stuff!
Thanks! Stoneware pots are always very thick - especially cream pots. The idea was to cool down the contents in the days before refrigeration. Willie :)
I'm so glad you kept the flat back green poison bottle even though it had a slight bite out of it. It's still such a beautiful bottle. If you do end up repairing it with resin I'd love to see the repair. The Stranraer Cream pot is a great find but the Buttercup Cream pot is even better. Congrats! The repair came out perfect! It sure was nice to see Dave again, I've been worried about him. And, yes, the robin that Sarah painted is a real beauty! You're both so talented. Thanks for the fun video. 🙂
I've been waiting for "Dave" to show up again. You have different robins in Scotland than we have in the US. I'm looking forward to having one of the prints. You find some amazing bottles. Love watching your videos.
Stunning ButterCream Stoneware, now check that off your bucket list finds. Your other belter were gorgeous too. Loved the enamel pitcher. Take care and stay safe. ✌
Thanks Debra - I have since learned that there are THREE SIZES of the Buttercup!! The search goes on..!
You take care and stay safe too. All of us at DSoS HQ say Hi! Willie :)
Willie, in the tradition of Dirty Secrets of Scotland what about you break out your Camo Kilt for the reels and Jigs for your Absolute Belter Dances????Congrats on the new Cream Pot!
Ha! That would be funny, for sure! Willie :)
Some fabulous finds today. I love the big jug and the tea pot plus of course your cream pot. They are all gorgeous. You had a good day.
Beautiful repair job on the Butter Cream jar!
Thanks Cindy - very kind of you to say. Willie :)
Beau Travail comme d'habitude🔬Un véritable moment de détente🎬🍀Alex From France🍻🙏🌌
Another belter of a dig!!
I love when you sight Dave!
Nice finds Willie and a beautiful repair. Thanks!
Excellent job on the cream pot.
Nice restoration Willy. Beautiful blue find!
Love this fix on the buttercup stoneware👍😊
I would dance too if I found that blue cream jar!!!! Awesome Awesome 😊😊😊😊
Love History bits, I always learn something new. Thank you! Thanks to Ian of West Country Mudlarks now I know the difference between Drippy Lippy and Blob top, I LOVE that yall are showing us the difference in the tops and other identifying makers marks etc. I now have a lovely collection of Bottle dump finds now and I have fallen in love with bottles.
I love the smaller bottles, I love the aqua bubbly bottles. In the first group of things I got there was a Daddies Sause bottle. It was broken when I got it just a 1 inch crash in the middle of the side corner. It blew me away that the glass was so thin, I also notice that none of the bottom corners are the same thickness also.
I am really loving all of the bottles I have. I have about 5 wee bottles and they just amaze me.
Next time I have them send me a box I am going to narrow down what I want LOL I want more pipes because they stun me that they are so light weight and seem delicate but they are so hardy. From watching I would have never imagined they were like that.
If you want to see my small collection lol I have opened the 2 boxes on camera and have them on my channel LOL My 59yo self felt like a 7 year old waiting for Christmas LOL I was a nervous wreck the first one lol even called West Country Norrthern LOL Ian and Louise have been really good to me LOL They claim I am a bag of frogs hahaha I told them I was already lol but said I was a nut job lol same thing hahaha.
Great job, now time to do the good old fashioned belter dance, those are my favorite, the boogie just doesn't give them the awe and respect the old fashioned ones gave BUT I love them the same.
Thank you for taking me on the treasure hunt and you do the most amazing job at restoring bits of history.
Fantastic video and Incredible Bottles as always ❤️👍😁
The butter cup cream pot is a beauty. I so love the tea pot. Lovely treasures. You do a great job in repairs.
Thanks Denise! Willie :)
I love watching you and your wife
So Happy for you. Beautiful finds.
I love Buttercup Cream pot and your repair is spot on. I'm curious, what sort of lid would this stoneware pot have had, cork maybe?
Welcome back Dave.
Crazy for crazen. 😊
Loved the teapot and the blue cream jar! Maybe one more dig and you will hit that vein of ginger beer bottles!
The cream pot is beautiful, really enjoyed the dig, as usual ;)
I was wondering about dave. So glad to see he is well!!!🕊🐦🕊
As always enjoyed and well done on the repair.
Very cool! 👵❤️🌺💕

the buttercup cream jar turned out beautifully! love the blue top. congrats on a bucket list find. 👊🏻
Mystery item could be an old draughts counter just a thought ?
That's Sarah's call too. Willie :)
Dave went and visited Bottle digger Tom on his dig. Tom talked to him and called him Dave and gave you and Dave a shout out. Lol I love you bucket list find and all the rest of the exquisite finds.
Hi Kristi - yes - I saw that! We love Tom's videos in this house - he's a great guy and a brilliant content creator. Willie :)

Thanks Diane - glad you could join us on another adventure! Willie :)
Ooh the Buttercup Cream sure is a Belter, great work on the little repair to it 👍 Oh and hello Dave!
Hi Brett! Yeah, it's a proper belter! I was over the moon to finally find a (sort of) whole one! So many broken pieces until now! Dave says HI! Willie :)
Phil Johnson from "Let's Go with the Johnsons" would love that tea pot, If you don't want it. Great job on the cream pot. Keep up the great videos. TFS.
What a gorgeous cream pot and a great video again! It always gives a good end to the fact that the weekend is over when you spot: "There's a new DSoS video on!"
And I think the "stone" looks like a giant draughts or nine men's morris gaming piece.
Thanks Iris - happy to help round off each week! I think you're most probably right about the small item, yeah. Willie :)
Great video Again, this heat is finding Everyone if you guys are getting Hot Hot too. Thank goodness where I live in Idaho we have a dry heat, don't think I could do 101 w humidity!!! Stay Cool, Keep the AWSOME treasures coming out of your digs. And ALWAYS keep the Belter Boogies up.

To think my cow Buttercup was part of a long line of Buttercup dairy cows. Great finds & repairs.
Thanks Rose. And yeah, your Buttercup has a fine lineage! Glad you’re enjoying the videos. Willie :)
Awesome finds and repairs
Thanks - glad you enjoyed watching! Willie :)
I’m really taken with the chilli 🌶 cordial🌶 I’d love to try that! ATB Julie 🙋♀️🤗👩
Me too! I reckon they should bring it back! It was made by the Kia-Ora company. 😊
@@dirtysecretsofscotland Seriously!! Oh wow, apart from the chilli, what made up the rest of the drink? Water, fruit juice, sugar? I'd love to try making some 🤗👍Julie 😍
Hello I have just subscribed yesterday to you after watching you with Nicola. I am really enjoying watching what you do and I love that you have a little brush to clean the items as soon as you dig them out as it makes it easier to see them. I really feel as if I'm going to enjoy seeing what you get up to. I really enjoyed your repair work as well. You are very talented and I looking forward to watching more
Thanks Dale - that was a lovely comment to read. It makes the hard work worthwhile when people notice it.
Nicola is an absolute joy to work with. We hope we will work together again in the future. Willie 😊
I have a whole butter cream that I got from and old gentlemen . He brought back from Scotland
That round thing looks like a white bone checkers piece!
Bravo , wat een mooie reparatie .
Groetjes van RINI
Your bone game piece thingy reminded me of -
One of my favourite Tips - if you want to find out if something is bone or something else like plastic or resin, heat up a tiny pin head and press the hot end into an inconspicuous part of the object. If it sinks in and melts, then you don’t have bone.
I used this on a piece of “scrimshaw” and it turned out to be fake.
A VERY good fake with carved dates and an anchor, a sailing ship and a sad looking lady 😂.
Anyway, tiny hot pin won’t melt bone/ivory. and the test won’t leave an obvious mark on the object.
I WOULD KEEP IT‼️
Round clay disk looks like a checker from a checker game a white one
your little round bone piece reminds me of a checker's playing piece.
The round bone thing looks like a gaming piece maybe its a faded checker piece.
Willie, does the round thing (favors a checker) have any kind of Scent? My grandmother used to have things that looked like that that she would put in her dresser drawers to make her clothes smell good. I think they were clay with some sort of oil added (usually lavender).
Hi Dave - thanks - that's a good suggestion! I'll have to try and find it again and give it a sniff! Not sure where it is though - this house is getting very messy!! Haha! Willie :)
Wigtontownship in Scotland has lots of different book shops and people come from all over the world to the yearly book fair
awesome dig again.. few weeks til i can get out again :( :)
I found a John Patterson all the way dpwn here in lancashire, Now i know it was amonia and not a Whiskey like i thought haha, cheers for the video some great finds. Subbed.
That is so funny...I was just wondering if Dave had visited recently!
One of the bottliest bottle channels on the bottle box.
Thanks Scott! Willie :)
made bubble cheeks in belter dance made me lol
