It is not that it is anti-spiritual but that generally marriage absorbs a lot of time and energy leaving little for higher pursuits especially if the two people are not in sync with each other's aspiration. As to sex, it is a normal and natural instinct which is supposed to serve the purpose of propagation of the species. However the mind adds to it much perversity to enhance pleasure. In itself it is not a problem if one is seeking pleasure but as far as the spiritual life is concerned it keeps us tied to the gross and crude animal instincts and the excitement and unconsciousness that follows often opens doors to many negative forces that are inimical to a higher life. It keeps the energy tied to lower levels leaving little that could be available for higher ascension. A progressive shift from the gross and crude to the subtle and the refined ways of life can be done through marriage or without it if one has the sincerity of aspiration. If this critical sincerity and aspiration is missing, merely living single and alone is not enough. For most people it is perhaps better to go through the experience of human love and togetherness as taken rightly this itself can be a preparation for the spiritual life than staying away out of taboo or fear and guilt and incomprehension. No general rule can be therefore made for these things and each one must feel for oneself.
Yes it sounds like that yet I have known such real instances that keep the ideal alive. Even if they were not I would rather give life towards trying to make the ideal real rather than pactice with the reality and accept that the Ideal can never be realised here. Also kindly explain the difference between talking with the mother in front of the big photograph of the mother & sri aurobindo & talking / feeling while working / sitting lonely about the mother (outside the photo) . What is the mechanism of these actions how it influence to the karmic account of an individual?
We live in a sea of vibrations of all kinds. But an individual generally receives those to which he is open through affinity and attachment to persons. It is somewhat like calling someone. If the phone is switched off or busy or the person is not open to taking the call then he or she will not receive anything. Besides these vibrations enter through unconsciousness and hence if the person is vigilant and conscious then too the vibrations projected will not be received. As to the way karmic law operates, each thought, feeling and action creates a groove. Naturally each of these groves leads the soul through a certain kind of experience. The mind and vital label these as good or bad but the soul within learns and grows. This is the basic mechanism. Now naturally many things can happen and many unexpected forces can come into play pushing us one way or the other.
